Hey Mat, I found your channel on New Years Day 2024 - What an inspiration you are and full of humility. I used to work on cars with my dad till he passed on, so to see you do this has been a fantastic memory for me as well!

Have followed Matt on his journey for a few years now and I have to say I have watched this video 3 times now and it brought a tear to my eye . I see we have similar backgrounds where I too purchased my first rental property at 21 and am on a mission to work on my passion instead of a 9-5. Basically, Mat's a grafter. He puts in plenty of hard work in terms of hours and is willing to develop his skill-set seemingly constantly. I’m not a petrol-head or know anything about cars, I rarely ever watch KZread, but I felt compelled to write my first ever comment. When one of your videos popped up one day, I was hooked. By 2am I put the phone down. Your videos are about more than cars and mechanics, they’re an example of hard work, determination and grit. A set of values that I wish was the norm rather than the exception. That attitude can’t be taught and no qualification will be a substitute for that. You have a spirit and spark that I hope you never lose and goes on to inspire others. The pursuit of dreams driven by passion and not money, fame or fortune has brought you everything you thoroughly deserve. Watching your success, achieving your goals and living your dream doesn’t fill me with envy or jealousy, but pride and respect (and to reevaluate my own choices!). I sat my daughter down and asked her to watch this video, to show to her what really matters in life: Passion and determination. I could never have delivered that message more powerfully than you. If - God forbid - I should ever total my beloved car, I’m sending it to you!
