I purchased a 2650 back in 2015 with a cab. After approximately 5 hours on the machine, the machine tipped onto its side. Great machine, but with the cab it's top heavy. When my current machine is paid off I'll be upgrading to a larger unit that has the types of wheels that wheel weights can be bolted to the rims for greater stability.

hello, i've had that same tippy feeling on this non cab model also a fue times i've read a lot about spacers and filling the tires or even switching over to the larger b3350 tires to help with the issue. I have mostly flat land and just take my time.

For your exhaust problem. To solve that just go to Lowe’s or Home Depot, buy either a 45 or 90 degree brass elbow, about six dollars, the elbow will fit tightly in the end of your existing exhaust pipe without clamping it. Problem solved without restricting your exhaust flow. I have a b2601, same exhaust set up.

I agree with the lighting, I have a 2650 cab model and just mounted an LED light bar between the the cab lights for better visibility, replaced the factory headlights with LEDs as well, can see better at night than in the day now.

Reminds me of the reasons I hate my Tacoma: 1) I keep going into 4H instead of turning down the AC. 2) The roof is too low for a tall guy. 3) If I drive too fast in the pasture, things fall out of the cup holder. 4) Neighbors call me to pull their tractors out of the mud. 5) I can't justify driving my track car to the store anymore, because it costs less to tow the car with the Tacoma.

Generally speaking I would tend to agree with your list. But I personally bought this to frigging WORK.And the first 3 hours? I had already broken out the radiator cover. My List. 1. The damn grill should be metal. 2. The wheel is a little flimsy. 3. The stupid ROPS bar.. When all the way down? Actually WILL bend your top 3pt bar when you bring it all the way up. 4... And this one is seriously pissing me off. I have the LA 534 loader. I grease every 10 like your supposed to. But the bottom right pin on the bucket keeps creeping out. Every 20 min or so I have to get off and hammer it back in. Now about the pathetic lighting situation? And the ROPS? I have found that having the ROPS exactly as you have it now? The bolt holes are PERFECT for some fancy LED lights. Best part? You got friggin battery direct power just sitting there to the right (while in your seat) just behind the seat! Auger out one of them holes next to the ROPS on the fender? Plant a sexy aircraft gunner cover switch?? Throw some wires around?? It is #EPIC. (Clear until you need to turn around and look where your going backwards.. Cuz then .. Like me.. Your going to regret the 300,000,000 Mil Candle Watt Power LEDs that just fried your retina for the 6th time in one evening. ) Other than that? It is a game changer. Now for the serious side again. The HST pedal sometimes will not go back to zero and thus sometimes reports that I am in drive and will not let me start the tractor. Same is true with the under the seat switch. I have a new routine.. A double hop in the seat while I tap my toes on the HST pedal 2 or 3 times before I hit the key. (And you thought YOUR tractor dance was sexy.. LMAO) But all in all. If you get the point of what all the bitching is about? Its ALL basically stupid stuff. I have just crossed 156 hours and literally.. DRIVE THIS THING like a D8 dozer running lead while on fire during a demolition derby. I seriously doubt ANYONE selecting this model will ever come close to what I put mine through. I am beyond impressed with it. I LOVE it and I will absolutely buy another one when I snap this ones frame in half. Period. Great videos BTW. :-)

Thanks for this one, Matt. Have over 200 hours on my B2650 and we really work it skidding logs, hauling splits with a pallet-box on qd forks, moving logs (9 footers and 54 inchers) with an EA grapple, mowing hay w/5' 'hog, digging w/the bucket, and most everything else around this old place. (Not sure where my wheelbarrow is since buying this tractor!) Looks like it's not too hilly where you are, but I've had an issue since day one up here in the mountains of northern PA that's gonna kill someone, and it's only a matter of time. I've written Kubota, told my dealer abt it, but no bulletins issued yet: DO NOT TRUST THE PARKING BRAKE ON HILLS. EVER. I carry a pair of home-made chocks for the back wheels, and block them whenever parked where it's any kind of steep (which is most of my acreage). I like almost everything else abt this little tractor, but that parking brake will "get" you. Set it on a hill and turn your back on it, and when you hear a "pop" I hope you're out of the way. Darned thing lets go at the worst times. Have a friend with the B2601 and his is the same. Dangerous, especially considering that with the HST tranny, that cheap little stamped piece of steel is all that's holding the machine in place. Thanks again, and be careful out there!

I'm curious how do you like the treadle pedal does it make your leg tired after going forward and into reverse over a long period of time of use. I currently have a John Deere 2032r I've been looking at the Kubota Tractors but I'm not a big fan of the treadle pedal my tractor has two separate petals 1 for forward 1 for reverse.

Troy Williams I actually really like it most of the time my heal is off it using like a gas pedal and then occasionally I pick up my foot and move back for reverse. But for detailed work I rest my foot in the middle so I can rock it Foward-reverse and it works out well, I’m so used to all the tractor controls now I don’t even need to think about what to do.

Been using my brother's B2650 for about 2 weeks cleaning up after Hurricane Sally did her thing here on the Alabama Gulf Coast. So far I'm impressed; agree refueling is a PITA, but other than that my only gripes are I hate the treadle, would much rather have 2 separate pedals. And on day one of using it the friggin treadle center switch decided to act up as I was traversing a mud hole. Had to shut it off a speak to someone and it wouldn't restart. Googled it and talked to my brother on the phone and it only took a blast of WD-40 to loosen up the actuator in the switch, but lying in the mud to get it done was a bit of a shit show. A little research shows those switches are notorious for doing that, hopefully they've fixed them by now. (Tractor is a 2014 with about 530 hrs on it.) Other than those few minor things I'm considering buying one; engine and hydraulics are strong, the machine seems well built, it sips fuel (which is a huge plus post-hurricane when open gas stations are few and far between and lines for the pumps can be a mile or longer), the diff lock & 4wd rock, it has great, easy to use hand controls, it's nice & heavy for its size, and looks to be easy to work on. Comparing it to the Kioti CK2610 HST, haven't made up my mind yet but will pull the trigger on one or the other soon as I have to give my brother his machine back in a week or so. But in any case this Kubota is a good, strong machine any way you look at it and you can't go wrong buying one.

I have the B2650 with cab and LA534 loader, I'll have to agree with the light problem, I just replaced the top cab lights front and rear with LED lights and fixed that problem. I still have the exhaust problem, but planning on doing the 90 elbow. I have a rear weight box with some weight and the rear tires are loaded. My 3 point hitch has a lever on each arm that lets you extend the arms several inches to hook up your implement. And a minor gripe is the fuel filler could be relocated to a better position. Haven't noticed any problem with the parking brake, but will watch more closely.

Matt, I had the same issue with the exhaust on my Kubota. This is a easy fix; just go to an exhaust shop and have them bend you a 1-1/2" 90 degree elbow, about 6" long on both ends. Push it on and play with the angle, you will need to cut the pipe in order to point the elbow between the loader in the down position and the front tire. This works perfect. No need to clamp the elbow, it stay on with no problem. Send me your email, and I will send you a picture of mine to give you an idea as to what the finish product will look like.

  • @4470carl

Enjoyed the video, I don’t think it’s possible to build any complex machine that’s not going to disagree with someone at some point, that said, I’m a Kubota guy myself. I have a L4701 and my biggest complaint is fueling because he fuel cap is nearly enter of the hood and impossible to reach from the ground unless your tall enough to play in the NBA, but with a little ingenuity, I now throw a furniture blanket over the hood and bought a 5 gallon diesel can that’s plastic, turns on its side and sets on the hood while I no longer have to hold it up. Just aim the spout and push the spring loaded valve to fuel. Now it’s easy smeasy. Good luck!

The exhaust looks long enough to bend enough to bend it downward more. In the edge of your deck where you step I would put some nut driven self tapping screws along that edge to keep drone slipping and wear. Mount LED lights on the rops for better lighting. It's been my experience with motorcycle fuel gauges that it's more of a suggestion rather than an accuracy. To compensate, I note mileage to refuel as it's pretty consistent. Miss the fuel petcock that had reserve switch, fuel injection eliminated that. But seriously, never had a tractor, no need a tractor, not sure how I got here but had fun watching. Thumbs up to you!

Dead about a kioti when my kubota dealer was not willing to fix it under warranty. I fixed it myself and traded it off to my kioti dealer and have had it 2 years 600 hrs and no problems at all . Talk to an old man yesterday and he told me what the problem with kubota's was. He said that Kubota was the world's best company at putting new sheet metal found an old tractor and convincing people it was a new model with the old problem solved. Kubota is a good tractor no doubt about it they are a very good little machine the problem I had with mine is rare but I will tell you this my kioti was 4k cheaper than was the same kubota. And it seems to be a little bit higher quality machine than the kubota was little things like 2 peddled hydrostatic and more comfortable seat just little things.

It’s tough to know how all machines will hold up,yea there’s reviews lots bad and little good on all, I just picked what was I thought was the best after 3+ years and 400hrs now no major issues. I try to make videos on the tractor and up load them with updates and working the tractor I have more plans for it this summer, guess we will see how it does thanks for watching and the information.

My #1 complaint: flipping the GD seat around to use the backhoe. What a pain in the tookus. My dad’s L39 seat just spun in place, but noooo, this one has to lift and pivot at the same time. God forbid you have the seat slid all the way forward because it’s virtually impossible to spin that way - it gets stuck about half way around and bashes the hell out of the plastic trim over the right panel and the right fender.

Well for damn sure cup holder will throw your beer out of it! And that's pure Damn alcohol abuse! Of course mine is a larger tractor it's about a 40 horse and I've gotten kind of crippled up and I have to have my brother to put gas in it or I'm sorry diesel fuel. And another thing they're four-wheel drive tractors but it's like a four wheel drive truck that doesn't have differential Lockers in it when you get in a bind one front wheel spins and one back wheel spins. And when you try to do the differential lock on the rear end I can't stomp mine down to make it engage. Oh well it gets me by, at least it's power steering and does have Springs under the seat unlike my International 424.

shhhh...... You can get some good deals on trade-ins because somebody wanted a new one becasue the paint was faded. I grew up on a dairy farm..... and man.... 100hrs is not even broken in. 500hrs is not even broken in on these things. With proper care that tractor has a life span of around 8000 hours or more. Hell... I know people that are still using tractors built in the 60s. but...... your going to have to deal with faded paint, dents, worn paint....... and the stigma of driving a tractor that does not look new. GASP...... I mean in all reality most homeowners trade these things in becasue they do not look new anymore.
