Hi, I recently purchased a used MFJ-826B. MFJ ENTREPRISES customer service confirmed to me that a complete reset was necessary. Then, you may not have noticed it but in AM/FM modulation the frequency counter displays the correct frequency perfectly. On the other hand, in SSB it fluctuates when you modulate. WHY ? Based on my CB MOBILE tests, the problem came from the stability of the 13.8v power supply of my KL-203P linear amplifier (motor stopped), so I installed a 13.8v 15A voltage regulator transformer. Same in my fixed station, during SSB modulation, the stabilized power supply must be able to perfectly follow the fluctuations in energy consumption requested by the TX/linear amplifier. If your stabilized switching power supply is not able to follow the fluctuations in energy consumption during SSB modulation, then you will have measurement anomalies on any MFJ DIGITAL SWR METER! IMPORTANT: I believe that your DOSY SWR POWER METER displays the correct frequency because it is powered by an external power source, but the MFJ826B is powered by the energy delivered by modulation (TX/linear amplifier) . My opinion is that all DIGITAL SWR-METERS, regardless of the manufacturer's brand, must have their "linear TX/amp" powered by a regulated power source capable of responding to fluctuations (rapid rise in energy consumption during SSB modulation). Please note that by default the MFJ826B is configured to display peak power (PEAK). It must be set to an “AVERAGE POWER” display. Sincerely

no i didn't make on on doing just that but if they are new soak them like it did i have a video on pulling the gears off the shafts it will be the same and just install new rings on the reassembly as im learning more ill be making more videos on the transmissions

Do you have a recommendation for a good street-able clutch that will handle 400 ft lbs and not be too harsh to drive. My clutch slips in 4th and 5th....5th at a couple pounds and less than half throttle. I like ACT clutches and looking at a heavy duty with full face disc. I just don't want it to wear the fork and ball too quickly. Should I go segmented or pucked or do you recommend a better combo? Thanks for any input and for your videos!!

I did that conversion, and that.s with a 351W engine. Had a small upper, but had to remove the valve cover to install the booster. The problem I had was it was hard to get to the number 8 spark plug. So I ended up going to a hydroboost set up, which had it's own issues, but now works very well. Now there is a ton of room between the hydroboost unit and the engine...

@@Mattsneedforspeed Here is more information to add to the fun. It's a stroked 390W and also has a vortech supercharger that produces just over 5 pounds of boost. While I was working it was my daily driver, and averaged 17 mpg.

we we drove from pa to Dallas Texas we did make some stops in between around a 20 hr drive i have reserved a Nissan maxima but got this for me to compare it to that there was less room and at my height of 6ft it would not be a fun ride in the back seat i was impressed with the mpg this car got most i felt it was more of a sporty car with 4 doors and not much back seat room.

Well there was a couple of things missing in that video that are important #1 you have to clean the cosmaline oil off of the rotors or the pads won't seat #2 you need to clean the rust off of the hub so it won't build up and the rotor could wobble. #3 you need to clean the rust off of the places where the hard ware goes on the caliper brackets and replace the hard ware. #4 you need to remove the caliper slide pins clean and lube and reinstall. Just a thought so you don't have problems down the road !

yes and no it will bolt up but it does not have the little green pressure sensor on the back end of the compressor you could possibly swap it out with the one from the nsrt4 i just never need to try that yet

On your Mpx oil filter adapter vidio you used a red grease What’s that called the name of it and is it bad if it gets inside the oil ports? What’s a good alternative to it also incase I gotta grab some grease locally that is fine to use thanks

high temp wheel bearing grease it will brake down in oil rtv and silicone sealant will clog oil ports if you don't have grease can use wd40 to spray the rubber part of the gasket

What’s up Matt. I got a transmission leak that’s coming right from the case split, like where a rear main seal would leak. Already resealed the axle housing and shifter linkage, did new axle seal on passenger side. Do you have any Idea what it could be? I didn’t think it could be the differential housing, maybe check the speedometer sensor?

if you say rear main seal im guessing inside the bell housing it could be the input shaft seal or the output shaft bearing has moved in the case and the shaft wore a hole into the bell, but ive had to reseal the spedo gear housing can be done in the car but if its the diff cover the trans will need removed remember to only use Anaerobic Gasket Maker no silicone or rtv.

@@Mattsneedforspeed yea it’s dripping atf from transmission in area where a rear main seal would leak. Inside of bell housing was dry. I’m thinking maybe speed sensor because I noticed connector was wet, and maybe it’s leaking down and going forward due to the curve on the transmission

You can replace just the inner. I used an aftermarket inner joint. You have to get a special tool the clamps around the joint so you can unscrew it. Dodge does not offer the part so would have to replace the rack. Mine was not leaking so I just replaced the joint. You're alignment will be off. I did my own toe alignment so it saved me having to pay for that.

I have not started my srt in a few years. Put some fogging oil in the cylinders. Changed the oil. Cranks fine but didn't start . Figured I'd drain the gas thinking 6 year old gas is bad.. I pulled the fuel line off the rail. I jumped the connectors in the fuse box no fuel comes out. With car off and no jumper relay out I get 14v across the terminals. Reconnected fuel line cranked it, no start, un hooked fuel line at fuel rail. No gas sprayed out. So pretty much sounds like new fuel pump time? Does that sound correct or should i check something else? Never worked on cars before but fix other multi million dollar equipment.

drop the tank plan to replace the entire pump assembly pull the injectors clean with wd40 might need new o-rings would be best to replace injectors or have cleaned but will flush threw just might be rough to get it started at first but will smooth out. clean out the fuel rail and flush the fuel line out drain and clean the tank a fue cans of brake cleaner will work hope to hear its up and running soon

@Mattsneedforspeed So don't just replace the fuel pump motor ie. 255 motor + filter from modem performance etc like the one in this video? Replace the whole white plastic assembly, plastic body and all that? Makes sense to flush all the lines and fuel rail and clean the tank. I saw the video where you had super cleaned the tank like you described(orange car silver booma rail). I'll see if cleaning the injectors gets it going but if needed looks like they may need to be replaced. Thanks for all the advice you definitely know from experience. Looks like I have plenty of work ahead. I love this car it was the first new car I ever got brand new. Still have the window sticker. It only got mopar stage 2 intake and exhaust. Arizona car so no rust garage kept, 58k miles. Time for resurrection.

@Mattsneedforspeed I got it running today. Thank you so much. Hasnt been stsrted in 8 years. My fuel filter had turned into what looked like what you would find in the bottom of a bag of chex mix. It was really fun cleaning the gas tank but I got all the varnish and chex mix out. Got brand new pump assembly and put the 255 in it.Flushed the fuel rail and fuel line with a can of carb cleaner. I got a fuel injector cleaning kit for 25 bucks. All injectors had varnish like residue but cleaned up well. One stubborn injector wouldn't work. I ordered a new set but then the stubborn one started working. Injector o rings were surprisingly good. Going to change transmission fluid tomorrow and take it for a cautious drive and see how the transmission feels. Thanks again man couldn't have done it without your advice.

hello, funny you comment as im getting ready to remove the clutch as it has failed already the flywheel needed ground so it would fit in the crank center i can add it does give the clutch a more grabby feel and i thing it helped improve over all mpg 2-3 per gallon but i curious to see how it held up as its acting like all the others i've seen in the nsrt4's i've driven the disc was toast plate and fly wheels looked new lol ill have it pulled this week and a video up soon

Yeah no, I’ve had a boost leak for some time, I actually just got it fixed 2 days ago. Costed me an arm and a leg because I needed to special order an aftermarket hose and have it shipped in from Germany.

high temp wheel bearing grease it will brake down in oil rtv and silicone sealant will clog oil ports if you don't have grease can use wd40 to spray the rubber part of the gasket
What’s up Matt. I got a transmission leak that’s coming right from the case split, like where a rear main seal would leak. Already resealed the axle housing and shifter linkage, did new axle seal on passenger side. Do you have any Idea what it could be? I didn’t think it could be the differential housing, maybe check the speedometer sensor?
if you say rear main seal im guessing inside the bell housing it could be the input shaft seal or the output shaft bearing has moved in the case and the shaft wore a hole into the bell, but ive had to reseal the spedo gear housing can be done in the car but if its the diff cover the trans will need removed remember to only use Anaerobic Gasket Maker no silicone or rtv.
@@Mattsneedforspeed yea it’s dripping atf from transmission in area where a rear main seal would leak. Inside of bell housing was dry. I’m thinking maybe speed sensor because I noticed connector was wet, and maybe it’s leaking down and going forward due to the curve on the transmission
So much junk. A radio is USELESS unless it's useful. NONE of these are anything special, and 90% of them probably don't work anymore due being left unused for years. Recap's anyone??

You can replace just the inner. I used an aftermarket inner joint. You have to get a special tool the clamps around the joint so you can unscrew it. Dodge does not offer the part so would have to replace the rack. Mine was not leaking so I just replaced the joint. You're alignment will be off. I did my own toe alignment so it saved me having to pay for that.

I have not started my srt in a few years. Put some fogging oil in the cylinders. Changed the oil. Cranks fine but didn't start . Figured I'd drain the gas thinking 6 year old gas is bad.. I pulled the fuel line off the rail. I jumped the connectors in the fuse box no fuel comes out. With car off and no jumper relay out I get 14v across the terminals. Reconnected fuel line cranked it, no start, un hooked fuel line at fuel rail. No gas sprayed out. So pretty much sounds like new fuel pump time? Does that sound correct or should i check something else? Never worked on cars before but fix other multi million dollar equipment.
drop the tank plan to replace the entire pump assembly pull the injectors clean with wd40 might need new o-rings would be best to replace injectors or have cleaned but will flush threw just might be rough to get it started at first but will smooth out. clean out the fuel rail and flush the fuel line out drain and clean the tank a fue cans of brake cleaner will work hope to hear its up and running soon
@Mattsneedforspeed So don't just replace the fuel pump motor ie. 255 motor + filter from modem performance etc like the one in this video? Replace the whole white plastic assembly, plastic body and all that? Makes sense to flush all the lines and fuel rail and clean the tank. I saw the video where you had super cleaned the tank like you described(orange car silver booma rail). I'll see if cleaning the injectors gets it going but if needed looks like they may need to be replaced. Thanks for all the advice you definitely know from experience. Looks like I have plenty of work ahead. I love this car it was the first new car I ever got brand new. Still have the window sticker. It only got mopar stage 2 intake and exhaust. Arizona car so no rust garage kept, 58k miles. Time for resurrection.
@Mattsneedforspeed I got it running today. Thank you so much. Hasnt been stsrted in 8 years. My fuel filter had turned into what looked like what you would find in the bottom of a bag of chex mix. It was really fun cleaning the gas tank but I got all the varnish and chex mix out. Got brand new pump assembly and put the 255 in it.Flushed the fuel rail and fuel line with a can of carb cleaner. I got a fuel injector cleaning kit for 25 bucks. All injectors had varnish like residue but cleaned up well. One stubborn injector wouldn't work. I ordered a new set but then the stubborn one started working. Injector o rings were surprisingly good. Going to change transmission fluid tomorrow and take it for a cautious drive and see how the transmission feels. Thanks again man couldn't have done it without your advice.

Heres to hoping you can figure out the power lock issue, mine has the exact same issue, relays click but wont lock or unlock doors. Trunk release does work though! tried a known good rke module and still same issue.

the body/shell should be the same base model to sti there could be some small differences. i only say that as i have not have a chance to work on that many

hello, funny you comment as im getting ready to remove the clutch as it has failed already the flywheel needed ground so it would fit in the crank center i can add it does give the clutch a more grabby feel and i thing it helped improve over all mpg 2-3 per gallon but i curious to see how it held up as its acting like all the others i've seen in the nsrt4's i've driven the disc was toast plate and fly wheels looked new lol ill have it pulled this week and a video up soon
How many miles did it last? I bought the fx250 and the aluminum flywheel it costed me 1040 and I'm nervous I wasted my money lol

Yeah no, I’ve had a boost leak for some time, I actually just got it fixed 2 days ago. Costed me an arm and a leg because I needed to special order an aftermarket hose and have it shipped in from Germany.
I couldn’t believe how loud the boost leak was, sounded exactly like yours. I could hear mine with the windows closed 😂
