Hmmmm..... Engineered wood floors were designed so that there will be minimal cracking or cupping. The top layer, or veneer, is a slice of real hard wood glued to quality plywood. The plywood takes the stress out of expansion and contraction, to a minimal state, but moreso than for solid hardwood. If you are in an area where you have too much humidity or dryness, consider another type of floor!
It's too much bla bla bla bla the only thing you need to know is that engineer wood type ratings they are called AC Ratings from AC1 to AC4 the most dense material. AC4 are the commercial wood you see at the mall suitable with high traffic. Hardwood if you drop a hammer it will dent because its soft! So the question is do you want a soft wood or hard surface dense material end of story!
Here’s someone who wants to sell more solid wood flooring.
hacks!
