  This person obviously has nothing to do with building. Quite possible he rides a desk but he's paid more than someone who swings a hammer. A few telltale signs all subfloor for 3/4 inch thick minimum. And both boards hold nails equally the same. It's called expansion and contraction that the nails go up and down😅

  I need to tape an ethernet cord on the entrance from the living room to the hallway in my home (so we stop tripping over it) but there are very nice real hard wood floors in the living room. Will duct tape hurt the wood floor over time? I wanted to duct tape it but not sure about duck tape being ON the wood floors. Is there any information on that? I have tried to look, nothing for "duck tape & hard wood floors" thanks so very much. :)

  This is exactly right. A lot of people who sell or use OSB are trying to convince us that OSB is "just as good if not better!" than plywood, but we all know it's not.

  Will polyurethane stick to laminate? Like if it were to install in bathroom or kitchen. Just to protect it is what am trying to say

  can you add 3/4 plywood over 1/2 plywood to strengthen the floor?

  No point unless you are doing tile , Then the it is better to put 3/4 first .

  Here in Iceland a subfloor would be put in after the house would be closed to the weather. The preference for walls and roof would be plywood here. Floors would be osb 19 or 21 mm. Inside walls would be OSB if wood is used. OSB seems to have a better damping capacity against noise

  Bona is the absolute worst. It doesn't clean a thing, it just leaves a residue thatayers up and collects more dirt. You can absolutely mop wood floors safely if you use a ph neutral cleaner, and a well wrung out flat mop.

  I am a homeowner with a day job who does not do anything construction related for a living. That being said I am working on framing out my basement and Bought this kzread.infoUgkxHQsUrwNr5GQrnx9V4xDdUr56qxwuiBHt gun. I have done a few walls already, have probably shot a couple hundred nails through this thing and have yet to have a misfire. It works awesome, good depth on every nail if you have your compressor set right. My literal only complaint is that it is a bit heavy and my arm can get a little tired especially whrn I am nailing at odd angles. That being said I am super happy with it and would buy it again. Hoping the old girl allows me to get my whole basement finished out!

  Trying to get some info please. I have an older home that we are renovating. Going to put new floors down over top of the hardwood but the old Hardwood seems to keep re-absorbing moisture out of the air and getting wet. Have you ever seen this before any solutions?

  Blame China couldn’t make us stronger! It is not Chinese steal our jobs, it is Wall Street too greedy to out sourcing most lower and middle end industries to other countries. I disagree with your calculation and conclusion also, you don’t understand how Chinese could make profitable for most of business, volume business and cheaper labors are the keys. Please recognize how lazy we are for young generation. China improves their environment problems in past decade also.
