Realistic Architecture Environment in UE5 - Dash Workflow

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Many of the tools in Dash can be useful when one wants to create an exterior Archviz environment in Unreal Engine 5. In this tutorial, Tamas shows how AI Content Tagging, Path Scatter, Grid Scatter, and many other tools in Dash are used to achieve realistic results very easily.
As most of the tools in Dash are non-destructive and offer real-time modification it is perfect for architecture projects in UE5 where one wants the ability to easily adjust the environment procedurally. One could also combine splines with all the masking features in the scatter tools to create really detailed results.

    Both use HISM, so in the end, the performance should be the same! :) And we have several converters in Dash that can help you convert the scatter instances to other types if needed once you are happy with the scatter settings, UE foliage, Static Meshes, etc. :)

    Hello, i have a question, when you add folliage and change to pathtracing, this folliage looks so overexposed like washed without shadows, how you fix this to get the realistic result at the end?

  • @tamas_nagy_3d

    @tamas_nagy_3d

    Hey! Perhaps you could try lowering the exposure if you're in path tracer mode. It's also possible that the scene has too many/strong light sources. Are you using a directional light or just lighting the space with HDRI?

    @@dibellagioTO Yep, I understand what you mean. At 13:20, I'll swap out my HDRI for a less bright one. Additionally, at 14:40, I'll add a mesh to the scene to simulate clouds, further breaking the light. This should improve the shadows. You might also adjust the intensity of the HDRI if necessary.

  • @polygonflow

    @polygonflow

    It takes some time to compute because we are tagging the content in the background, to make sure that you can search for your assets! In order to find exactly what you are looking for faster! :) If it takes too long to compute your project assets, you can choose to only compute certain sub-folders on the left side of the Dash Content Library! :)

    I strongly dislike subscription models. I'd much rather pay $100-150 upfront and own the plugin or software. That's why I resort to piracy. It's undoubtedly a good plugin, thanks for offering 'Perpetual plans'. I'm seriously considering buying it. I'm currently using about 12 subscription based pieces of software, which I find completely unacceptable. At present, I'm using pirated versions of Adobe products, and gradually, I'm replacing most of my programs with pirated versions. I'm utterly tired and fed up with this shit.
