That scene where cap's shield breaks was messed up. After it breaks and they win, he is clearly seen with a fully intact shield, the one that was supposed to be broken.
So the reason why Cap barely has to move is to catch it is because of his understanding of Geometry and a bit of physics breaking.

The reason why Cap can throw and catch his shield so perfectly is because he treats his CGI Artists so well, they don’t want to let him down! 👍 😂

You can probably add magnets if it’s still aerodynamic, this would just add more realism (it’s shown in age of ultron)
If Cap’s shield absorbs kinetic energy, it wouldn’t bounce in even the slightest. It would hit the wall and lose 100% of momentum.
Bro just made the shield they used for the actual film. In the film-making process, there’s actually 3 shields. 1 made of rubber (for throwing shots), 1 made of plastic (for melee shots), and 1 made of metal (for holding or dropping shots).
The reason it doesn’t obey the laws of physics is because it absorbs blasts as we can see when Agent Carter shoots the bullets at him and they fall tot he ground instead of ricocheting off it so it realistically shouldn’t bounce off walls it should hit the wall, absorb the shock, and fall strait to the ground
