So cool! If possible you should try to add a quick release to the rope mechanism instead of letting it unravel all the way. Also you should make a second web shooter for the other hand, also find out a way to make the web shooter retract if you can
I've had a theory before on how the Spiderman web shooter actually works in the past. In the cartoon, its always a single really thick cartridge, but I always thought that it can't be a single chemical, and it can't activate unless it comes in contact with the air as well, or it would clog the very shooter. My guess is that the cartridge is separated into sections of liquids and fires them with extreme pressure through a very tight nozzle that mixes the liquids. Since Spidey says that his spider silk is biodegradable, I would think it is organic, which would lead me to believe it is made out of proteins and aminoacids, mainly Fibroin, Alanine, Glycine and Serine, just like the silk from both Spiders and Silkworms, possibly also starch and other thickening agents. Under pressure, the liquids would be able to shoot for a HUGE distance, but as they are mixed they would already start to become a strand and when they come out from the nozzle and come in contact with the air, they would expand, thicken and become a rope like material, making for a even small amount of liquid mix would already have a considerable volume of rope that is both adhesive and can resist quite a bit of weight.

he is actually VERY close here. all he really needs is a way to reload quickly and to shoot webs off both arms (also super strength but that’s a different story)
@kobebrian69420
10 ай бұрын
something that might work is having shooters off both arms and getting super high being able to reload one at a time while airborne or some unlimited supply which could maybe work with a lot of substances, but it's a lot of timing and effort to make it work
@itarry4
10 ай бұрын
@@kobebrian69420 you'd need to design cartridges with the projectile and the pre wrapped rope and design it so you have a separate spool or something for each. It'd take some designing of both the shooter and the cartridge but it could probably be worked out and done. You might even be able to design a magazine system that you strap to your waist or something. The strength bit could be taken up partly with a suit with exoskeleton but keeping the weight down as well as getting it strong enough would be hard but the exoskeleton could take the weight off your arm and help spread it around the body, not to mention you could move the gas bottle etc to your back making the system on your arm smaller and easier to design for multiple shots and it'd help a little when something broke which let's face it will probably happen and no matter how quick you are you're reloading and Shooting another to catch yourself like spiderman does when one of his breaks or he's falling off a building.

The strongest spider web belongs to the Darwin spark spider, and the spider weighs roughly .5 grams and can shoot its web roughly 80ft. @@deo1965 there's a lot of freedom in what gas to choose, the problem would simply be price and safety. Something like liquid Nitrogen gas might work, because it's inert and cheap, but helium or other inert gasses might work aswell. But then you'd still have to worry about actual keeping it in it's liquid form.
Please please please never lose your motivation, you could actually do this
Dam the determination it is amazing
This guy is like the combination of both spider-man and Tony Stark, heck, he could at this point make up his own superhero with the gadgets he has made!

Just gotta say, I really appreciate your dedication to the web shooter projects. It’s so cool to see what awesome designs and functions you come up with. That net shooter was especially neat, keep up the good work!
I ordered a couple of your web shooters…the wait for it to say “your order has been shipped” is killing me lol been a week since I placed that order.
u can add the other web slinger (the one with the magnet or the suction cup) to the other hand. one hand for swinging and one for attacking.
You've hit the point where you are hiding how you do stuff (the device the stabs into stuff lol) you are really innovating here I love it.
Have you tried adding PEG and a cross linking agent like divinylbenze in your solution? Maybe polyvinyl alcohol and PMMA as well to increase tensile strength?

Interesting idea can I use this idea in the future if I ever get the chance to try to make this?
now make spidey sense. Seriously though, this is actually sick. Great Job!
