Fun fact: there was actually a real-life case of an innocent man who was charged with murder, who was in fact at a Dodgers' game at the time the crime was committed. What saved him was the fact that the show Curb Your Enthusiasm happened to be filming at the game at the time, and one of the shots from the show's extra footage shows him in the background. Without that, he may have been sent to death row.

It would be very drawn out and boring, most likely. Court trials can take months to years if the defendant waves their right to a speedy trial (which is logical if the defense needs more time to gather evidence.) In order to make it entertaining and even bearable for the average viewer, they’d have to cut a lot of procedures out of the script

Okay, but surely there's a way to conjure up a court case that's interesting enough for TV, right? By "realistic", I don't mean your average, everyday case, but one that could generate headlines but could plausibly happen. And of course you would cut out all the boring parts that aren't strictly necessary and compress the events into whatever length is appropriate. By "as accurate as possible", I don't mean literally as realistic as humanly possible to everyday life, I mean one that doesn't violate established courtroom laws and procedures without acknowledging the unusualness and making it part of the story, that kind of idea.

@MA Good points. It sounds like you've seen a lot more of his videos than I did. But I gotta say, I know exactly what you're talking about with the "he/she might be rich" lessons, and I completely agree. Like wtf kind of lesson is that? That treating poor people like garbage is okay, as long as they're actually poor? I also hate how he always inserts his name into the dialogue to make himself look good... "Dhar Mann is my favorite! Did you know that he gives all his money to the homeless. Who could ever not like him, all he does is spread love and joy to the world!" That type of stuff, and as I'm sure you know, I am in absolutely no way exaggerating. it's all so gross. There's a reason his videos target kids, they're easier to BS and fool than grown adults. Kids are easy money to Mann. What makes it even worse is that hes "teaching" terrible lessons, lessons no sane person would want their kids to learn.
