It's almost certainly children in the majority of those comments. Not only do they have poor spelling, but you can tell by how they phrase things and their vocabulary

my fiance and i got a hamster 6 months ago, we never owned one before, so we started looking for info, and your videos came very handy for our hamster's care. We have learnt from you and fron our own experience. We got him a 40 inch aquarium, and a big wheel, and put tunnels and a lot of bedding, and we play with him every time he is awake. We aren't the perfect owners, but we always try to do our best for him. We coudln't imagine how terrible we may have been ( unpurporsely) without watching your videos in advance. So thank you for all the info you have shared victoria, keep it up. :)

To the person who left the comment at 6:00. Hello, I am a scientist with a major in animal wellfare research. I am here to tell you not to get dinky too small pet store cages, as hamster can not live comfortably in literally just anything, even if those things were made for hamsters, because not all manufacturers know better or care about getting it right. Hamsters were not made to live in tiny-ass cages but roam pretty impressive distances their size considered and need a lot of enrichment in order to perform their natural behaviors in captivity. This is a friendly reminder that "alive" is not the same thing as well kept / thriving. :) People Dunning-Krugering their way through this world always get me. Usually it's funny but boy howdy if it can't be face-palm inducing at times.

Dude this just proves people are stupid. I mean in my experience I just got a cheap cage that really wasn’t good for my hamster, she freaked out, I didn’t know what to do, but then watched your videos and realized a larger cage is the way to go. My current cage still isn’t really big (around 550 sq in) but my hamster seems to be thriving. A large cage is so important for a hamsters for so many reasons. What you are doing for the hamster community is so important. Thank you Victoria!! ❤️❤️ Also isn’t humus food? Wouldn’t a hamster like slowly sink into it like quicksand lol 🤦‍♀️

A couple years ago I left a very dumb comment saying something like my hamster didn't like to burrow and he kept burrowing underneath his bowl and I thought he didn't know how to burrow. Victoria responded saying that I need to learn the difference between digging and burrowing, and that I probably need more substrate throughout the cage to encourage burrowing. I immediately got very defensive even though she was being respectful. I have now seen the error of my ways and my current hamster has between 10-15 inches throughout the entire cage. :) Thank you for the feedback, I have become a better pet owner.

So happy I found your channel. Within a week of buying a hamster I’ve upgraded his cage 3 times ( he’s now in a detlof). I gave him deep bedding and a large wheel. Over time I’d love to make it more natural. I love having a hamster so much and knowing he’s so much happier in a large space is great! Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge. It’s been extremely helpful.

Those hate comments were hilarious. There will always be immature and envious people who will talk negatively about you to feel better. They are just pathetic and they would never dare to talk to you like this face to face. You don't owe anyone an explanation for who you are or what you are doing. Love your channel, it's very informative.

I love how mature you are about the rude things people say to you. I've been meaning to comment for a while but you definitely helped my hamster and made his life a ton better. When I brought him home from Pet Smart in September we had a critter trail cage with a 4 inch wheel. He was bitting the bars and trying to run out whenever the door was open. I binged watched a bunch of your videos and now he lives in the large niteangel encloser you had recommended and has a 12inch wheel... So Judge ( my hamsters name) and I thank you very much.

Me and my 7 year old daughter loved you as soon as we found your channel, and could tell that you were passionate and knowledgeable. I love your videos, Victoria! Before getting my previous hammy, I did some research, because the last hamster I owned was about 10 (now 12) years ago. I came around your channel and it helped me a big time. The previous hammy I had was a hybrid from a pet store, which was a big mistake. He was a very strange one. He didn't store any food, he ate all he got so I had to keep an eye on his weight. And he was a biter. He would keep biting me his whole life. So the only way I could handle him, was to cover my hands with the sleeves of my hoodie. I had a special Alex hoodie :D but on the other hand I was happy, that I chose him, because not everybody would like to have a hamm like him and maybe he wouldn't be taken care of like I was. When he died I got a winter white from an ethical breeder. I got him over a month ago and he's totally different. He got used to me in a few weeks. When I sit with him in his playpen, he climbs up onto my legs. When I put my hand on the ground he immediately climbs on my palm. He's such a sweetie. I wish you and your pets all the best and keep up the great work you are doing ❤️

Your videos are super helpful. Inspired me to finally pick up a Syrian named Vader and set up a bin cage. I appreciate all the education you have provided. I almost pulled the trigger on the colorful pet store cages, but the square inch information really steered me another way. Thanks a bunch! Side bar, I could only afford 8” of hummus for my pestered hamster after I spoke to a scientist. Lol.

My hamster Pabs short for Pablo Escobar passed away 3 weeks ago and he was so tame and I loved him so much! I just bought another hamster and we named him Hamtaro, he is a long haired fancy hamster! I have a huge cage that I put on top of my kitchen table and my new hamster loves it! I love watching your videos and have learned so much from you! Definitely hamsters need a large cage and proper care! I always make fresh salads every other day! Pabs was my daughters hamster that I babysat and he had the smallest cage and I basically took him and got him the biggest cage I could find because I wanted him to live a happy life! My new hamster I bought from petco and he was in a 10 gallon tank that was divided in half and he was with 3 other hamsters with a water boy and a dish of food! Pet stores are awful!

I was just wondering even if the cage with bars is big enough for the hamster. Is it still dangerous to have hamsters chewing on the bars of it because my old hamster did that and I was wondering if that is bad for them. Google didn't really help

To be honest, the repetition helps me because I have a really bad memory, so hearing it over and over again helps me to remember.
