One thing I've found that helps with helping your hamster wake up earlier is to keep the lighting in the room they're in on a more natural cycle (if that makes sense lol). So, bright lights during the day (or just natural lighting), dim lights during the early evening and no lights from 7pm onwards. Since I started doing this, my hamster has gone from waking up at 11pm to waking up between 8 and 9pm.

Ooh I like this tip... usually tips making your hamster wake up early only benefits the owner but this, I'm pretty sure this can benefit the hamster asw

@@kittenmimi5326 It definitely has benefitted him in some ways - for example, he's now able to have more out-of-cage time than he used to do. I find that this method is a lot more kind than waking them up to change their sleep scheduel, too, since they can still sleep for as long as they want or need to.

@@Love4theGospel I mean, this isn’t really trying to make them wake up earlier - him waking up early just a bonus that came out of putting the room my hamster is in on a more natural light cycle.

You give the animals the best life that they could ever live. If every pet owner was like you the world would be a better place by far.

It’s also my hamster’s birthday this month ! And I’m so happy to say that after 6 months of having and taming her, I think I’ve finally done it ! She lets me pet her for 10 minutes and she fi-na-lly lets me lift her up if there’s food in my hand (it was actually what took the longest). I’m so prouve to have done it as I thought she would be untamable. I love her so much, thank you for helping me create such a great bond with her
