I also dnfed tools of engagement really early on!! I didn't like the lack of emotional depth either! I thought I was the only one who didn't enjoy it because I know a lot of people loved it, so I'm glad you felt the same as me hahah

LOVE crazy love! Absolutely always go back to it and reread it! I would highly highly recommended the book 'You Me Forever' by Francis Chan and his wife Lisa Chan. My husband and I have gone through it twice now and it has been such a strength in our marriage. We recommend it to anyone who is married! ❤️

Also yeah I’ve read tools of engagement. It’s definitely not worth finishing it. The starting and middle part is pretty ok. The ends gets a little better but I don’t think you should finish it. It’s like a 2 star read

Totally agree with your view on tools of engagement. I really don't like that type of humour. Like you said give me some actual emotional depth. That 'humour' just ends up annoying me
