Tommy is a multi-instrumentalist. He plays guitar, piano, flute, accordion, drums and at least a couple of others for which I can't find an equivalent in English.
More Tommy please. Can't get enough of this super talented man.

Definitely more coming - won't be for a few weeks - I have content laid out for Feb, but Sabaton and Tommy will be featured in March for sure!
A truly stunning voice! I'm glad you chose to comment on this.

You're welcome, and yes, he absolutely is!
Thank you so much for doing this David♥️ This is a good introduction to the talents of Tommy. He has a great voice and can get up there. In Phantom of the Opera he sings duet with himself and ends on C6. I've seen him play guitar( have tried to count them, think he owns over 10-15. The white one is a favourite, along with his red/white Gary Moore replica) bass, keyboard/piano, and drums. In a 'shorts' he told he was buying and learning to play an accordion. He is also using plug- in instruments. It's all him playing everything. Mandy is his GF, usually filming. Sometimes he does that as well. His studio is just a black sheet in a curve in his livingroom. He can draw very well. Done all artwork on his Majestica album and also the animation in some of his music videos. A renaissance man. Master at arranging. His Majestica Christmas Carol album, taking traditional carols, re-interpreting them to Dickens lyrics and himself acting as Scrooge and bassist Chris Davis Ghost of Marley. His Disneytons Sabaton lyrics to Disney music. He also arranges for Floor Jansen solowork. And his humour that always seeps through in his videos. Sabaton Vlogs shows his goofy side. You see why I love this guy! Fun trivia, my maiden name was Johansson, no relative I hasten to say. It's the most common surname in Sweden. Still, it gives me a feeling of connection as well, maybe un- warranted. Only a month now to my Sabaton concert!! He truly loves to cover the 1980ies powers ballads, it seems. His musical Hero is Gary Moore. His father introduced hum to that music at age 9. That's when he started to learn the guitar and decided to become a rock guitarist. 35 now and has led Majestica, former ReinXeed since age 14. Celebrated 20 years 2021. On another note Floor Jansen released her cover of Invincible a couple of days ago, dedicated to the works for PTDS.

You are so very welcome. A C6?! Holy smokes - that's crazy. Definitely have to check that out some time (though I think the VP Phantom will come first). He is clearly an incredibly skilled musician. (Interestingly, I think he's the 6th or 7th person I've heard of picking up accordion in the last year or so - I wonder if something triggered the interest.) I sympathise with the studio! Mine is a blanket hung over a washing line in my basement! ;-) Also, wow - art and animation too? Damn! I am VERY intrigued by the Christmas album - that will have to feature next year. The Disneytons sound awesome too - I'll have to check them out once I've seen the originals. Awesome that he arranges for Floor also. (Yes, I'll be checking out Invincible - and her whole album - and hopefully reacting to something.) His humour is fantastic - not too showy, but perfect for raising the tone of this video, and I'm sure many others. I understand the connection with names - they are an incredibly powerful thing, regardless of connection. I think music that comes to us between about 5 and 12 is extremely formative, so it doesn't surprise me that he fell into the 80s music if that's what he was introduced to. For my part, I have a love of classical music, Gilbert and Sullivan, opera and musical theatre, all of which came to me around those years from my grandparents - and jazz and barbershop, which I found myself around the same time. Hence the love of a capella groups also. Can't wait to hear about the concert.

Found it🙂
Gary Moore is Tommy's biggest idol, he wanted to learn to play the guitar like Mr. Moore and he did it. Tommy is a true guitar virtuoso, a legend already in his lifetime.
I love that sprinkle of humor he put into a really strong vocal performance. Sorry to hear about the audio difficulty but I thought you did a good job compensating as best as possible!

Thank you for the recommendations - I appreciate that.
PS I believe that to be a Majestica shirt, looks like their font. He usually wears that or a Sabaton one. Most his videos is in this settings. Sometimes you see him sitting down in front of his instruments in his studio at home. Still belting it sitting down, lol. BTW he's a huge Nordic viking, 1.95 long, born in the very north at the Polar Circle.

Great reaction, glad you enjoyed this presentation of Tommy's talents. I see Carina already told you all there is to know. I would just like to add a few recommendations, Eagle Fly Free (Helloween cover), Empty Rooms (Gary Moore), his Queen covers and his original song, The Light, a re-recording of a song he released with his band ReinXeed (Majestica) when he was 18.

Hello David, I am always the last of the Tommy squad to join a reaction 😀. My KZread algorithm just doesn't keep up with me. Carina told me about you, and after reading Carinas' comment, I don't have to say anything about Tommy. But I like to say something about your reaction. I don't think I ever watched such a long reaction with so much interest. You hear so much in Tommy's arrangements that I never realised. That gave me a lot more inside in how this music came together and how much thought Tommy put in his performance. You can actually see, when Tommy plays, he also bends the strings to change the tone of his guitar. As the others told you, Tommy plays multiple instruments and can be a one man band. Tommy does play drums, keyboard, piano, bass, guitar, the flute, and lately accodeon . Tommy has his very own style, which you will hear when you dive deeper into his music. especially his own. For example, "above the sky" from his band Majestica. For him it is a fun track about metal music, but if you listen to it you find key changes, you find tempo changes and a vocal range that is insane. And a mad wizard bass player, who plays a mad intro bass solo. Now I did almost write a novel as a comment. I hope you like it and I will subscribe to your channel 😊

I'm glad that you found my channel! I'm also really happy that you got so much out of my analysis. :-) Yes, I saw the string-bending but didn't want to go too deep into guitar theory in one video! ;-) Tommy does a lot though, so if we get another good view in a different video, I will discuss it more. I'm very impressed with his versatility both in the number of instruments he plays, and how skilled he is with them - voice included. I'm looking forward to discovering more of his work. I'll add Above the Sky to my list as something to check out soon. :-) Thank you for the sub, and I love reading all the information that fans of the music can provide, so thank you for that also.
Just Tommy doing Tommy things 😅 🎶🎸🎶
He always puts his own spin on things.
Love your reaction!! It gives layers to what Tommy does that I wasn’t capable of grasping myself .. so much added value and fun . You are more than a reactor .. you reflect and place the performance in your own reality .. very enjoyable 😀🌼. I would suggest that you take a look at his recent re-recording of “the light” witch is an original song of his ( wrote it at 14 I think .. and recorded it with his band at 18). His “ cover” is for the 20 year anniversary of his band. It is my personal favourite of all his covers and it really shows his vocals and guitar skills. It’s power metal which I just realised I love ❤️

Thank you so much for your kind words - I am humbled, and hope I continue to live up to them. I appreciate the recommendation too - I’ve got it on my list to check out in due course.
Excellent react as always, and thank you for introducing me to new music! Holy crap those high notes! The clarity and control he has of his head voice. And that, "whoops" moment of forgetting to push a button. As a streamer, I understand that moment completely... switching screens, forgetting to unmute my mic... So many balls to keep in the air. The "whammy bar" (for lack of a better term) that he puts in his voice towards the end, almost feels a bit like a callback to the end of the guitar solo when he comes back in, matching the final note of the solo. It's like his voice and the guitar are part and parcel, one in the same and become one another. It's a neat touch. I also get a hint of, "I'm apologizing, please come back, I love you... but it's probably going to happen again" from his cheeky looks and slight shifty eyes thrown into an otherwise fairly serious arrangement and performance. Note on the synth from the beginning: Sounds like an oboe synth to me. How do I figure? I played the oboe for 4 years, and my ear tends to pick the sound out quite quickly as a result. It's one of my favourite instruments to hear, though I may be slightly biased.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed this one - he's very impressive! I have that whoops moment all the time recording these - I'm sure you've seen me accidentally turn off the display recording, rather than starting KZread. ;-) I like the callback you mention - I hadn't caught that, but I definitely see what you mean. I love the humour - it's such a fresh take on something like this, and I'm keen to see more of it! I don't think I knew you were an oboe player. It is a lovely instrument (though I'm personally more partial to the cor anglais - goes with my bass instrument fascination).

You’re right, he does match up to his guitar fairly often in his covers, they are like one which is so nice to listen to! If you listen to his version of Phantom of the Opera (He does both the part of Christine and the Phantom), you can really hear how they become one in the last note of the song.

Well that was interesting! I found this guy accidentally about 5 weeks ago while looking for something about Skid Row, and found he'd covered 18 and Life. I thoroughly enjoyed his rendition so was very interested to hear this. I hadn't expected the humour but it didn't detract from the song and I see from Carina's comment, he often adds a little humour. I think I'm going to enjoy learning more about this powerhouse! Thanks for the reaction David! 🙂👍 P.S. No pressure, I know you'll get to it when you can, but VoicePlays latest is AWESOME! 😊
