Prince was one of the BEST musicians to ever live. Saw him 30 times and he continued to amaze me. He still does!

Great reaction Todd!!! I love this performance of his! You are correct, Prince mimicked Santana almost perfectly. It shows how much of Santana's music Prince must've listened to in order to mimic him so well. Prince himself said that he grew up with Santana's music and that he was inspired by Santana a great deal. It really shows here. Another Prince live performance I would recommend is him performing his song "Shhh" live at the Coachella Music Festival in 2008. He has two killer solos in that performance! The keyboardist is Tommy Barbarella. Prince had awesome band members. You definitely had to know how to play to get in his band.
