How wonderful! Could not stop crying. Show was fabulous but oh the memories it brought back. Prince we all miss you so much.

This was beautiful! Prince would be proud. Wow i'm balling my eyes out with tears. RIP Prince.

The Revolution and The NPG is one of my Favorite Prince's Band

Still wishing there wasn't a need for Prince tributes, especially ones with Kirk Johnson sitting behind the drums...wish he would unlock the vault in his mind. Loved seeing Mike S and Sonny T and Shelby and Chance tho.

And this is why Their called The New Power Generation, you all are POWERFUL with this music. Thank You All

Very moving - tears! Powerful and soulful Prince sure had an amazing band and the singer is amazing - great to see Andre on stage and Shelby and that beautiful PRS guitar jam Purple Rain....first time watching NPG haven't been able to until now. Wow I hope they come my way even though i'm crying like hell. Best tribute to our Purple Master - PRN.

I can say that I am an NPG soldier cause I follow him from late 80's throughout the 90's and beyond. Rest in purple Prince 4ever!

Tommy Barbarella, very nice playing on Venus De Milo. RIP John Blackwell, one of the GOAT. IMO, Michael Bland & John Blackwell were his best drummers. Great job on PR vocals Chance. The Reverend Mike Scott is so damn tasty. My preference is to have his rig up above the mix when he takes them solos. Turnt up! If we wanted it to sound like a record we'd listen to the original. It's live sound! I suppose Scotty is not doing sound on this.

Sorry, but nothing compares 2 Prince 💜 Prince’s music and his songs are sacret. Don’t let others ruin it.

While this performance was impeccable, I would rather NPG focus on songs made famous and created by the NPG. I wouldn't go to a New Power Generation concert that has Tony M, Morris Hayes, Sonny T and Tommy Barbarella and want to hear any of the songs they played here: Nothing Compares 2 U, Let's Go Crazy and Purple Rain. If I had to pick 3 songs to hear the NPG perform, it would be Diamonds And Pearls, Gold and Get Wild! And then again, without Michael Bland, those songs wouldn't sound the same. While I love Purple Rain, outside of The Revolution, the song is too sacred for ANYONE ELSE to perform.

SL Carrtel Tommy Barbarella on keys/piano. Morris Hayes on keys/organ. Mike Scott on guitar. Kirk J on drums. Kip Blackshire on vocals. André Cymone on guitar and vocals. Sonny Thompson on bass. All Prince NPG Alumni. All about the best in the business...

André Cymone was never in NPG, but he was an original early 1980s Prince collaborator - apparently wrote most of Do Me Baby for example. Very interesting addition as front man.

I would not pay to see this concert.

I saw both sets of The New Power Generation with Andre Cymone at Bluesfest Byron Bay Australia March 2018.No-one was disappointed I thought the sets were fantastic..I most certainly would pay to see his show Andre also performed his own sets.The last time Prince played in New Zealand,it was a solo show & tickets were impossible to obtain.
