Grandfather played professional dombra, grandmother was a teacher and sings. His parents are Kanat Aitbayev and Svetlana Aitbayeva. They all live together in one house. Dimash said: “Open my heart, you will find music. If you open my brain you will find music. Music is my life." He has been training in music since he was 5 years old, has a perfect pitch. He is university-educated with degrees in classical/opera, contemporary music, pop, and jazz with a major in vocal. Dimash also completed a Broadway musical masterclass and has completed his Master's with a concentration in Composition. He graduated with honors’. He has composed 12 of his own songs so far and is currently working on his doctorate. He created his own genre: neoclassical combined with classical, folklore and other styles such as pop, rock, R&B and jazz. We laypeople say 'Popera'. 😃 Dimash is independent and has full artistic control over himself. He founded his own company named Dimash Ali. In 2017, Dimash surprised everyone in China. He opened the eyes of his critical compatriots. Today Dimash is a 'cultural ambassador' for his country and a 'national treasure' (not an official title). He himself is a proud Kazakh and patriot. Dimash plays at least 7 instruments, traditional dombra is a must in his family. He speaks Kazakh (mother tongue) and Russian (without accent, second language in Kazakhstan), is learning English and Mandarin. He says dancing and Mandarin are difficult for him. So far, he sings in 13 languages. He trains his voice for 3 hours every day, ..but Dimash said: "You don't need to know how hard I've worked, you just need to enjoy the results". Experts consider Dimash to be a lyrical baritone with a typically long range. Dimash says of himself that he is a tenor. Some believe that he does not sing his high notes as a countertenor but as a natural soprano. He is the first singer to sing all 5 voices: bass, baritone, tenor, contralto, soprano. He is considered to be the best vocalist in the world and a master performer. He sings in 12 languages and plays many instruments. He is an exceptional singer and excels in martial arts. His mother is a world-class opera singer, and his father is also a well-known singer. He was raised by his grandparents, which is customary in his home country of Kazakhstan. He appears in front of crowds of hundreds of thousands of people and is known to give the proceeds to charity. He is a very humble and shy man. He stands at 6 ft. 3 1/2" tall and weighs 200 pounds. Oh trust me, Dimash is addicting. You have no idea but you just saw a small portion of what he can do. I found him in 2017. 5 years later and I do not go one day, rarely a few hours without hearing Dimash. He was 22 when he did that version of SOS. Now he is just over one month away from 28 and he has practiced since then. He is loved all over the world. Please continue with Dimash. Oh and it helps to know he is a very humble down to earth person who treats his fans like family.

Just go to his official KZread channel Dimash Qudaibergen and watch from this point forward. This was only his first performance of this song "SOS" on the Chinese show "Singer" from 2017 where he was a contestant. (There are 10 more performances from that show available to watch) He was 22 years old then. He is now 27 and has done so many things since. He is a world renowned vocalist. You cannot call Dimash just a singer. You will see. Just watch everything he has done. He also has a lot of pop songs in English such as "Fly Away", "Screaming" and "Be With Me". Пламен , всю жизнь слушаю музыку разных жанров , но за свои 81 год такого голоса как у Димаша НИКОГДА не слышал , слушаю его ежедневно с 21 . 01 . 2017 года , но его вокал НИКОГДА не надоедает - это чудо !!!

Bambi Rose, such a sweet reaction to our favorite singer. I’m a 65 year old man that 2 years ago I started with 5 surgeries and finding Dimash at the beginning of those hard times. Just watching his music has made me a happy person. At Least two years ago Dimash wrote a song called war and peace and had it translated to Mandarin and sang it in the capital of Ukrain in Kiev. About 5 months ago he went back to a competition he had won years before at the new wave competition in Russia. He sang a song called Stranger which deals somewhat of how an immigrant would feel coming to a new land. I’m telling you this to let you know about the peace maker Dimash is. If you haven’t found out yet he is the best vocalist with just under 8 octaves the number of octaves on a piano. At this competition he was 22 had completed his 2 masters in classical and contemporary music, sang in 13 languages, was in his doctorate had taken a master class in broadwatpystage production. Everything you saw and heard he by this time either produced it or collabed with others. Dimash also by this time played 8 instruments. Wikipedia has his career in music starting at 2 yrs old. Dimash just had his 28th birthday. I’ll let others request songs for you to react to. This human being is a maestro of voice and many of the instruments he plays. Welcome to the Dears Dimashs fans.

Welcome to Dimashland, dear AnnaLeah!This young man is in a class of his own. His voverversion of S.O.S is just a small glimpse of what he can do with his voice. There is so much more. I was lucky enough to attend one of his rare solo concerts a few weeks ago. What a ride! His voice permeated every fibre of my body. And on the human side, he is such a sweet, warm and humorous guy. And sometimes, he's just cute (although he doesn't like it so much when you call him sweet and cute, after all, he's grown up and a proud Kazakh man). I'll leave it to others to tell you about his highest highs and his lowest lows, his perfect pitch, his breath control, and his expansive range of genres and languages. As for me, I have simply found that the most critically important music of my life has become far less important since discovering Dimash. He is the ultimate singer and vocal entertainer, and there is simply no limit in what he has done and what he continues to do.

Yes, and it never diminishes. Ive been watching SOS for three years now and its still mind boggling. Watching noobies getting gobsmacked is part of it too. Mainly its the rich consistently superb quality of the arrangements and songwriting is second to none.

Dimash is a vocal master. The greatest of all time in my opinion.

I was obsessed for about 2 years. Had to start & end every day listening to him, and as much as possible in between. It was like a hunger to hear those glorious tones....

I recommend you a singer her name is Diana Navarro with the song "El perdón" she is a very versatile Spanish singer singing different styles of music with incredible melisma. She transmits a lot of emotion and emotion when she sings.

Dee - Maaaaash is a diamond of first water level/class vocalist. You would need to combine at least 3-4 highly skilled vocalists with different vocal ranges to sing closest to Dimash.

Hitting notes hard is more easy than doing it softly. But since Dimash is a master in everything if it comes to singing there aren't any problems. The most talented and hard working singer ever.
