I am a singer is a competition for renowned Chinese singers.Domash got a wild card. This is the first episode and the first performer of 2017. No one in China has ever heard of him. The audience was asked to greet him warmly, he was only 22 years old, he could say in English, thank you and not a word in Chinese. The audience, 5oo of them, are all related to the music industry and at the same time they are judges who evaluate performers with their votes. If you continue the Dimash journey through I am a singer, you will see the same faces in the audience. After showing the show on television, Dimash got bodyguards. This performance was watched by over 600 million people on Chinese internet platforms. Overnight. What amazes Dimash is his music education of 5 years of age. He refused a permanent engagement at the Kazakh Opera House at the age of 21. He wants his way in music, the way he sings. He will never become part of the mainstem industry. You noticed that he thanked the maestro at the end of the performance. He always does. Modest and grateful. He has built a unique relationship with his audience which he calls Dears-There are fan clubs in over 100 countries of the world. His concerts are attended by audiences from all over the world. The concert in Kazakhstan was attended by audiences from 46 countries. At the moment there is no technically better singer in the world, he performs songs in 12 languages, plays several instruments but that is not the most important why we love him and we are protectively crowned. His character and the soul he leaves on the stage is what captures you, Greetings from Dears from Croatia

It amuses me to see how people react when they first time hear Dimash. It reminds me of my first encounter with his singing. I discovered Dimash quite by accident. My husband and I talked about the movie Fifth element. I looked for Diva dance singers on You Tube. There was also a guy but I didn’t want to waste my time with him! 😂🤣 😀😊😜😝🥴 🙄 Out of curiosity, I finally decided to give him a chance and listen to him. Yeah, you can probably imagine how amazed I was! I quickly searched for another of his songs. I chosed SOS because I have known this song for a long time. I haven't heard anything so beautiful for a very long time. 👏 👍 🌷🌷🌷 The next surprise was when I read the comments. I’ve come to realize that people aren’t just his fans, but they actually love him. I wondered what was wrong with these people? 😱😨 Today, everything is clear to me. I became a “Dear” even before I realized what it was. 🎵🎵 🍐🍐

Dimash was 22 at that time, and the lower end of his range was not yet fully developed, that's why is kind of disappeared down there. A year later, he sang the same song at the Slavic Bazaar event and there it is strong. If you want to hear more than the 1/3 of the capabilities he showed you here, I recommend Sinful Passion what many experts regard as his best song for your next reaction to Dimash.

Sinful Passion has, IMHO, too much unnecessary and over the top belts. Dimash is one of the best singers in the world. His biggest weakness is probably his style of overdoing stuffs. Maybe he can tone the emotions just a tad down instead of exaggerating them to extreme levels.

  • @wbrenne

    @wbrenne

    3 жыл бұрын

@@progenitusofalara6193 Indeed, he was using his vocal palette to the extreme when it came to competitve situations. That's what keeps impressing most viewers, but I admit that the eclecticism of styles may be overwhelming and tiring. Igor Krutoy continued to make use of Dimash's range for the sake of special effect, and it had resonated well with the Russian audience. But in his latest published songs (I am thinking of Know Vocalise, Samaltau, Qairan Elim), Dimash has indeed toned down and sounds like a much more mature artist. I am convinced that this trend will continue and we will enjoy him using his voice more wisely in the future. However, I will continue to go back to his early performances from time to time because the youthful exuberance and passion in them is just too captivating.

« I don’t know how I can be impressed with him, since I heard everything. » I was like, oh man! You don’t know what’s coming!😂 seriously, I’m from Québec, and this song is huge. Not a lot are able to sing this, due to the complexity of the vocals. And the lyrics.... so beautiful! I wish you could all understand it. This song is from the opera rock called Starmania, and the caracter of this song wants to commit suicide. The only other person who shook me with this song, was Gregory Lemarchal. A young talented boy who was able to do crazy things with his voice, even if he was sick, due to a respiratory disease in the same family of cystic fibrosis. If I’m not mistaken, Dimash heard about Gregory and this song when Greg died, and he wanted to do it. Dimash even went to France to sing it for a tribute to Gregory. It was so emotional. Dimash is not only a perfect vocalist, he is really kind, generous and humble. I’m sorry if I did mistakes, for those who read this, you already understood that my first language is french. 😊

The way I found to celebrate the majesty of Dimash's talent was to write the following about him: If I were to rule the world, I would immediately add to the universal declaration of human rights another article (they would become 31) whose wording would be as follows " All human beings have the right, at least once in their lives, to hear Dimash sing ". I am a Professor and I believe that I have a special profession that allows me to transform the human heart and consequently the human society. I work with young people and young people need to have good references. I had been looking for someone for a long time, whom I could talk to the young people I work with, as a good reference. That person should be young, a super talent, a super mega star in the art world and above all, because he is the most important, a good human person. I searched and never found anyone with these characteristics. Until, 1 year ago, I met this person and that person is Dimash. I had the opportunity to say this to Dimash, personally, when I was with him in Latvia where I went, coming from Portugal (there are 8000 km round trip), last March 7, 2020. Dimash almost has infinite range and style. He is very well trained (from age 5). He was 22 when this video was made. He is now 26. He is a fully trained Opera Singer. He turned down an offer from an Opera Company in order to branch out into other genres. He has a 6 octave, 5 semitone range. Up to D8. His breath control is huge. His dynamics are great. And he "tells the story" of the song he is singing. Dimash has done some contemporary songs too. Thanks for the reaction. Hope you do more Dimash.

He did the screaming. This is way too early to be telling you this a newbee to Dimash. 2 metal things. (First Dimash is not a style so keep that in mind.) Dimash did the soundtrack Music video to the two year old move gogo power Rangers. It was heavy metal. 5 months ago or so he did the soundtrack Music video across endless dimensions for the syfy Creators: The Past a symphonic metal song with comPlete orchestra. Dimash in an interview recently said about this China show back in 2017. He said 2 billion people watched it. The next morning when he opened the door to his room to step out there were two huge guys at his door. He said he got scared. They were his bodyguards. Dimash’s range goes from A1 in the first octave to D8 a note higher than the highest note on the piano. That why he isn’t a style. Vocal coaches have said he left opera behind because he refused a place at the Astana Opera House to do what he does. He steal does opera when he feels like it but has no restraints. He does many styles and mixes of styles and even invents new genres. Good luck if you’re brave enough to venture down this rabbit hole to maybe some metal.

It is so much fun watching people discover Dimash. When you said he's like Aladdin and Jasmin doing both roles, that's exactly what Ogni Pietra is. Each of his songs is surprising but my favorite at the moment is "Samaltau" Tokyo Jazz Festival done in his studio due to COVID. He started vocal lessons at 5 years old so trained through puberty and was able to keep his high register. Having a mother opera singer and a dad singer may have started his interest in performing, but it was the 20+ years of dedicated training that created such a unique, talent. Enjoyed your reaction and will certainly watch if you do more Dimash. Cheers!

Welcome to Dimashland! :-) You're right...this Kazakh singing wonder and Music Man of the century can sing anything he wants to. He's been classically trained since he was 5 yrs. old. Every performance is great! You might want to listen to his version of Queen's The Show Must Go on...for operatic, Olympico (Ogni Pietra); for a series of high notes that will blow your mind, Opera 2; Across Endless Dimensions; pure drama, Adagio; or Love is Like a Dream, Give Me Your Love, Screaming, Sinful Passion, Confessa/Diva Dance. None will disappoint. They're all different but great and display all the versatile things Dimash can do with his beautiful , well trained male singing voice. Keep listening and you'll come across his ridiculous E8 whistle notes that he holds longer than you can imagine...and 99.99% of all his vocal acrobatics are done LIVE! Since I'm o n a roll, I might as well add that the middle aged bald headed man that you often see at the piano is Igor Krutoy, famous much awarded Russian composer and pianist who came out of semi-retirement to compose and arrange for and with Dimash who also composes...and they are quite a team. Dimash is 22 here but now 26 and is working on his Phd in I think "Musical Science".

I already watched this on your patreon but I want to spread the love here too 🥰🥰 This is a great reaction! The amazement and incredulity you openly show is both hilarious and refreshing. Your reactions are always so honest and real and spontaneous, I like that about you. I know I've said this a few times but I really love your way of explaining vocal techniques and styles! You make it really easy to understand for someone who knows nothing about music theory. I can't say how many times I've watched this performance before. It's so good! I really like his vocal style and the way he uses an operatic sound for some lines and then a more modern sound for others. It's really fascinating. The way he sings sounds so effortless and perfect, like it's not even hard to reach those high notes. Opera 2 is another great one of his performances, the vocals in that performance are absolutely insane. Dimash is very talented singer and artist. Also, learning a song in a foreign language just phonetically is crazy. Amazing. Thank you for this video, I wasn't expecting it! I hope you have a great day/evening! Annyeong~~ 💜💜💜

I was so excited when I saw this I’m my subscription box because I watched him on a show called The Worlds Best. He most likely would have won, but he quit the show in order to let two kids go on because he said they told him he wouldn’t be competing against any children, but he was. The judges were so mad at him for stepping down. They asked him why and said that the reason he stepped down was because in his culture they let children have a chance at succeeding. It’s kind a hard to explain so here’s a video of his last performance and the part where he is talking about quitting the show. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lmiB2Mtqn62XnZM.html

Thanks for reacting and welcome to the world of Dimash 😁😍 !!!. This is just the tip of the iceberg, each presentation surprises you and makes you know something new. This video is from 2017 (22 years old), seeing its evolution is amazing. He is a human being with a natural gift, who has studied (piano and singing) since he was 5 years old to develop it and who works every day on him ... to make his dream come true as he has expressed. He is singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist (piano, drums, dombra, xylophone, guitar). EDUCATION: Kudaibergen completed a Broadway Musical master class in 2009. In 2014 he graduated in Classical Music with Major in Vocal (Bel Canto) from the music institute of K. Zhubanov University in Aktobe. He began his studies in Contemporary Music (Jazz, Pop) at Kazakh National University of Arts in Astana, where he graduated with Major in Vocal on 27 June 2018. On 18 June 2020, he graduated from the same university with a Master's Degree in Composition by defending his Master's thesis with a perfect score, and receiving a recommendation for admission to doctoral studies in music. #dimash #ourprince #ImDear

One of the effects of those who listen to Dimash is to react genuinely like you. He is a very humble and simple boy, but at the same time he is a perfectionist and if at this moment he leaves us stunned with his talent, imagine after time the level that he will reach.Talking about metal I suggest the video soundtrack of the movie Creators: The Past, Across Endless Dimensions, your imagination will fly and with a superb electric guitar ending.

I literally laughed out loud when you said, "That's so high, man". You chose the perfect intro song for Dimash. It covers a few scales, colors, and techniques... but as others have said... you've barely scratched the surface, you haven't seen anything yet, this is only a 10th of what he can do, etc., etc. Dimash was amazing then, but he's gotten even better since this competition. Walter Afanasieff is now working on music for Dimash, and when the C-19 eases up, he'll have Dimash in his studio here in the states. Walter has an impressive list of singers he's worked with, so when he says, "Dimash has the greatest voice I've ever heard", or "millions of angels", that's saying something. I know you'll be reacting to more of him, and we Dears all look forward to seeing it!!!

Hey...you finally discovered Dimash. Congratulations 😎👍 Well it took you almost a year after you started finding out about BTS. There is only two acts I consistently follow to and it is Dimash for being the best singer alive and BTS for their ability to entertain all around and write volumes of catchy hit songs. If you want to continue down the rabbit hole like you did with BTS, I recommend you do reactions to other jaw dropping Dimash songs like: Love is Like A Dream, Sinful Passions, Ogni Pietra, Mademoiselle Hyde, Love of Tired Swans, etc... you are a rocker dude so react to Across Endless Dimensions. It’s a song for a sci fi Italian movie that required three separate male singers to sing it to Dimash because of the wide vocal range only Dimash can sing it before he went into the recording studio to sing that song😂🤣

Props to Sandra! Pretty much a perfect description without spoiling to much. It may not be the kind of music you'll listen to regularly, but damn he is great. Dimash came up in your comments from time to time, so it was just a question of time when you'll get to him. And well, pretty much what I was expecting :D Try "Sinful Passion" next. That's his take on an older song from one of the most known Kazakhstan-bands. It's not a "cover", the remaining original band members performed it with him (their singer passed away). I knew the original song since it pretty much was released (I understand/speak russian and know a good portion of their music, "A-Studio" - the band - was pretty well known there too), and his take on it is just on a different level.

metalheads like dimash, and you're no exception. He definitely lives up to the hype. This will be even more understandable the further you on on the dimash journey. This is 2% of his vocal ability. If that. That's how good he is. The next for new Dimash listeners is Sinful Passion. Its hard to find a starting point because all his songs are amazing, and they never flop.

More info.... "The Singer" is an annual Chinese TV show for highly respected Chinese singers to compete. Dimash was the only non Chinese singer invited because the producer saw him perform for the Chinese and Kazakh presidents and was very impressed. He is from Kazakhstan is 6 feet 3 inches tall and was the youngest competitor in 2017 at only 22 years old. Because of his age and the fact he was a wild card selection, he was asked to perform first. No pressure!! To add to the complexity, he sang SOS in French! The audience went wild for him! When the show was broadcast that night on TV to approximately 600 million Chinese households he had to have bodyguards the next morning for the first time in his life as he had become a superstar overnight in China. He is now a world class artist and just turned 26 on the 24th of May. His tour of the world to sold out arenas with his solo concerts was placed on hold until next year due to Covid-19. He also performs in concerts with the famous Russian composer Igor Krutoy, and is constantly collecting awards, attends many prestigious red carpet events, film festivals and even models for lots of high end fashion houses. He is university trained in Classical opera vocals to degree level, also holds a degree in contemporary pop music and jazz with a major in vocals, and now has finished his master degree in music composition with a top mark of 100%. He has also been recently accepted into a Ph.D. program. He received singing lessons from the age of 5 when his teacher noticed he had perfect pitch . He was offered a place at the Astana Opera in Kazakhstan but turned it down for a more contemporary musical career. He is a multi instrumentalist, more than 8 instruments and also sings in 12 different languages and has a range of over 6+ octaves from a very low bass to a high soprano, plus a whistle register with his highest note so far being a 5 second D8 with vibrato. He is widely recognized as the best vocalist in the world. He speaks fluent Kazakh and Russian, is studying English and Mandarin and has conversational skills in both but not quite fluent yet. And to top it off he practices martial arts, plays soccer, and can swim the length of an Olympic swimming pool underwater. His performances are easily found all over KZread. Enjoy your journey!

Thank you for your appreciative reaction to SOS! I've been listening to Dimash for an year almost every day. He is a wonderful singer, an artist, who seeks various forms of expression, conveys emotions and gives everything of himself in his performances. He is also a beautiful person inside and out. As for metal screaming, he hasn't sung metal, probably the closest is the OST of the movie "Power Rangers", he screams there. He also has a song called "Screaming" - MV and a different live version from the Chinese Idol Hits show. It's a pop song with some awesome screaming. FYI Dimash will be on MTV USA for the first time tomorrow, Oct 2, between 5pm and 8 pm Eastern time. His performance will be also on MTV YT channel.
