As someone that probably spent around 1,5k in like 9 years, i dont give a fuck about the skins. Ive got my value out of them and sure would be sick to have some of my faves in smite 2, but i care more about smite 2 being a great game rather than having skins in a bad game

If SMITE 2 was announced and the first thing they said was that like 98% of the work force was pointed at directly porting over the hundreds of skins that less than 25 people use daily, I literally wouldn't care about SMITE 2's existence. That would've been the worst pitch in the history of gaming.

The ONLY people who are upset are Aphro, Jing, Nu Wa and Neith mains because all of their skins won't be in Smite 2 at launch. Don't get me wrong I am a milk man too but grow up

This whole skin drama is like if you had a carpenter build you a deck for your house 10 years later you moved house and expected said carpenter to build the same deck for you for free

IMAGINE someone being mad about GTA6….oh wait. NO ONE IS! Pretty confident that player base has spent tens of thousands on housing/cosmetics/cars etc.

I was just nodding the whole time when you mentioned that people who ACTUALLY have lots of skins in SMITE don't care. As someone with 1500 skins in SMITE 1, I really don't care at all about whether skins port over. Give me the new engine, new mechanics, no more spaghetti code, better graphics... all of it. The legacy gems were totally unexpected and more than they needed to do honestly.

Asmon lives every single day of his life with 50+ tabs open, and it eats at my soul. I don't know how he does it.

People have become so detached from reality. Smite and Smite 2 are free to play, how could they possibly keep servers up or fund development if they just gave you everything for free in their new free to play game. The entitlement is WILD to me.

I guarantee you 80% of the people complaining will be playing Smite 2 on opening day and if they don’t I promise they will start playing very shortly after release 😂

People really expect a company with less than 500 employees to be like a triple A studio 😂

I am super excited for Smite 2. With the skin situation, Hi-res doing legacy gems is a good idea to accommodate Smite 1 player for all their old skins. that alone has done more for the player base than 80% of other game companies. The only thing I hope they do is Trier 5 skin should be remade for Smite 2.

I was bummed out at first but i dont mind now. I cant wait to see skins looking like there card arts now
