Some things to remember is that there will be 5 brand new gods at release so only 45 old gods will return at launch and the gods at launch will probably be equally divided by class or role

There will only be 50 gods at release, but everyone will get their favorite god in Smite because they said that they will add all of the old gods from Smite with Titanforge saying that it will be one old god added every 2 weeks so they are predicting that all of the old gods in Smite 2 within 2 years

It will definitely not be equal unless Hi Rez confirms otherwise since inherently Guardians are always played less and Damage roles played more and new players will probably flock to arena.

Sol and Cernunnos are confirmed. If I were to guess, they will probably have two gods from each pantheon, at the least, at the start. The Greek, Roman and Egyptian pantheons will obviously have way more because those gods are so recognizable. There will be five new gods as well, so only 9 of each class will be there at launch. Hindu gods always cause controversy so they might avoid added them for a bit.

omg hirez needs to stop being such a baby about that stuff. I dont get it. Idk why the hindu community is so sensitive to a video game that is NOT mocking the gods, but actually respecting it. There is so many media out there that use hindu, what are they going to do protest every one of them? I will never understand Hi Rez reasoning of "being careful". If south park has christianity, whats stopping Hi Rez ?? They can definitely have Jesus and Lucifer as playable characters lol. So many games have it. Theres no excuse. Can you imagine Smite 2 Jesus and Lucifer, that would be hilariously awesome. Only snowflakes would get offended because I can go and ask my local church and they wouldnt care about some smite game lol.

@@cybzer0560 I doubt it has anything to do with the controversy. Maybe they don't want to release them right away to avoid it when the game is at it's most popular but meh it's not that big of a deal. We are getting new gods like every 1-2 weeks so it's not an issue.

I want Jorm or Cthulhu the most because the effects and possibilities are CRAZY

10 for each class would make sense, but there's just so many mages. I would assume easy to make gods would show up first, I feel like Charon is a lay-up kit wise.

I think the pool of characters is gonna be proportional to the amounts for the current roster. Also a few that was discounted are gonna be in the launch roster based on the keynote footage, like Zeus (even if he did include it), and Susano I think Sol was in the keynote but I dont remember.

its gonna be mostly gods that are easy to pick up so that they can attract new players

I really hope the animations aren’t the same when casting seeing Ymir have a different style is refreshing hopefully they don’t get lazy and half ass some of them I can’t wait !!

I feel like King Arthur, Merlin, and lancelot will not all be on launch

Arthur almost certainly will, it'd be odd for his cross gen skin to be in divine legacy if he wasn't planned on being there.

Only 50 gods is such a cut lol had no clue it was such a chop. I think the list is good. I'd love if Cabrakan, Sol, and Awilix were guaranteed since those are the Gods i mainly play. Also they might drop the Hindu gods since they had flak from before but no clue NVM I see Kali was hinted at

They think 50 will be ready. So some of the choices might be easier to engineer (Jing Wei) thus explaining some of the choices for time constraint reasons.

All gods will be added eventually (might take years tho sadly). Sol, however, is confirmed to be at least semi-early, since she's got a cross-gen skin releasing at the start of y11!

I’m surprised you didn’t just break it down by 5 classes. 10 assassins 10 mages 10 guardians 10 warriors 10 hunters. I kinda want to see most of the OG gods but a lot of the older gods need work so maybe 10 most played gods in each class? Anywho nice vid Weak3n!

the issue is that its not how its broken up in smite, mages are the biggest class by far. however it is ideal to have 10 of each class at launch

There's usually more mages, because you have mage assassins and healers that are not really in the mage category, and there's usually less tanks. Even if you look at current gods right now by their 5 categories you will see there's way less guardians and way more mages than average.

I’m sure they’re also looking to pick gods whose abilities will show off how cool the game looks in UE5. Pele’s lava and lightning will look badass. Sol’s kit will too.

I know it's pretty tough but I love when you go over Smite 2 shit, the hype I have for the game makes me search for everything Smite 2 so I appreciate the video my guy😅

i think you also have consider what gods they can make the coolest animations for to really make the game look amazing on release to attract new players and hold them.

Yeah but god every few months is how Smite 1 is. So guess what? that’s another 10 years of SMITE 2 😂 By the time they catch up SMITE 3 will be in the works. So good luck having your favorite god port over if they aren’t in the main list.

All the gods in their pantheon are important, that’s why when we get new pantheons it’s literally the most famous god or diety from there. But in reality who actually gives a shit about those specific pantheons overall? The original line up of SMITE 1 was the most random gods ever.

I feel like it’s going to be a mix of og’s newer gods and big names

Cthulhu is the only of his pantheon and also in the Nut trailer... I believe he comes

what will they likely base it on? importance to smite lore? most played? most viable in competitive scene? most relevant in popular culture? most well known mythical figures/gods? quotas for certain demographics? certain amount of each class? certain amount of each pantheon? Anyone know? a mix of everything probably. I'm assuming all the gods will eventually go over.

Classic mythology characters like Medusa, Cerb, etc. are definitely making it up to Smite 2. Even in Smite Data mining there was a change mentioned about Medusa so maybe that change will be applied in Smite 2.

Any smite 1 skins will be buyable 100% with legacy gems so they’re essentially free if you bought them in smite 1

Jing Wei 100% makes it because she has a cross gen skin with Bellona in the pack

Wouldn't the easiest way to confirm if a god is moving over is to look at the cross gen skins?

Feelin like aside from the gods confirmed from skins and such most gods that are balanced in smite 1 move first because they wont have to make changes, gods needing reworks probably don't make the 50 except for 1 or 2 for the bonus hype.

Keep in mind. Season 11 patch already tells us some gods that carry over. On top of the gods that you have already experienced playing with at worlds.

The hellion skin is for King Arthur. PS, the infernal mace skin is for Chaac.

A lot more gods have already been confirmed, you can go by the cross gen skins

But they will add them as time goes on right? I'm gonna cry if I can't play xbal or achilles ever again when smite 2 releases (i know smite 1 will go on but lets be honest no one with smite 2 will want to play that)

I hope smite advertises right so midway through the year after release its not another struggler.

I think at the very least every pantheon is going to be represented so I imagine Gilgamesh and Cthulhu will make the cut. I also can't see them doing all of the big 3 Greek gods on release now that Hades is also a mage. Hindu pantheon will probably have low rep early on so maybe just Agni and Shiva I imagine.
