Before 9.5 it was really easy to die early game like you got blinked on and died. minion wave also was easier to clear. they made it so you didnt die off of you mistake and made wave harder to clear to slow down the early game. A lot of "better" players or snow ball lovers just want it reverted so you can bully early game and bring back dominating early on. at its worse games would be F6-ed a lot more because people would rage dying so early. Honestly game has changed alot to where i dont think they need to change it back but idk im not a master players so .

It increased the health pool of all gods. Basically hard nerfing burst damage and making ganks and good positioning less relevant. It might have even made matches a lot longer. On one hand it stopped the snowball meta that was in effect at the time. On the other hand, it was very "anti-fun" because you couldn't 100-0 people with cool plays or builds.

After launch for season 10 and after Hi Rez completely changed matchmaking, I am happy to give up on Smite 1. Matchmaking and team balancing truly is BRUTAL. Not happy with this new update but oh well. July 30th can't come any faster

S9* You're a Chaac who mains Solo so 9.5 didn't affect you as it did to other players like me, but still you're right S10 was awful and stopped being good around 10.7ish

The pen and cooldown shifts were OK but they also could have boosted all of the passive they gave t2s and made a whole set of new glyphs

Yeah the patch was pretty fucking disappointing, you change some t2 piwer spikes until you buy t3 and theyre gone and thats it

I'd say at this point to throw as little effort into Smite 1 and move all the people to work on Smite 2. Yeah this patch sucks but now just focus making Smite 2 playable by the end of next month. Otherwise, yeah both games are gonna die simultaneously

Honestly I don't get it. If this is the last 6 to 8 months of Smite, why won't they just add in all the old items back into the game, have each month have its own unique conquest map, revert 90% of item in god nerfs, keep the game interesting for at least the next 6 to 8 months, there is nothing new in the game and nothing new to do. These changes aren't going to make any casual or even competitive player. Want to come back and play the game

Because a large portion of the community told Hirez that as long as they get smite 2 everything will be fine and that they can focus all resources on Smite2.

The goal isnt to make people come back to smite one. For some reason people think hirez is gonna support both smites long term and from a business AND logical standpoint that was never going to happen. Smite 2 will come out, smite one will get maybe one more “big patch” likely at the start of next year and then it will get dripped content for the rest of its life until they sunset it.

I'll just remain optimistic that Smite 2 will turn out for the best and become a witch in the woods and cast positivity spells - I see no alternative before me.

I like the set up except show more of the text. I like to read along these videos as I do my house chores

lmfao smite devs are bums, how is this their actual jobs? why cant they simply do a small stat adjustment to all gods and funk around with items a bit. They might grow a brain and do it next patch but damn this is so random.

The only reason Smite is at it's end is because Hirez are mishandling the whole situation. Smite 2 is not even remotely close to being ready for release and it defo won't be in 2 months. Hirez will either figure out a way to make that game fun or they will opt out for Arena release together with conquest killing Smite 2 on day 1. Hirez are dumb enough to do option b.

This is actually well thought out I just wonder why they are pushing for you to back more. They upgrade all these tier 2 items, which is going to make you want to go back to the fountain more often instead of grinding out gold enough to straight buy a full item. So they give bonuses to movement speed in those tier 2 items to make up the time. Maybe is this to mix up the team fight advantages?

This is going to be a legit game dynamic changing patch. It's going to change the way you build. It's almost better up to mid late game to be building up to tier 2s for 2, 3, or even 4 items before you upgrade 1.

@@MoBCopenhagenI think you’re overestimating a lot of these tier 2s. Most of them have pretty underwhelming passives. Maybe you might skip one t3 to keep a good unique t2 passive for longer but most of them are not worth the lost stats imo.

@@scadoosh2009yeah, I can see the book of secrets being kept tier 2 to build stacks while also starting another item, but most of these passives aren’t good enough to keep tier 2. Maybe the one that’s a combo of void and shogun’s, and maybe maybe the heavy hammer, but the rest of these are insignificant

Imma be honest, and i could probably be in the minority here, but smite just hasnt been fun for me for the last year basically. I love this game, but i feel like im getting more and more frustrated with the game than i am enjoying it. Frustrated in the patches they make, matchmaking just being awful, and other factors too. Im sad to say that but it’s true for me. It’s making me less and less excited for smite 2 tbh.

See yall on Predecessor boys! Smites pissing down their leg with this whole Smite 2 transition. Smite 2 just doesn’t seem to be worth all the hype, I’m super disappointed. Been playing Pred lately and it’s not perfect but it’s been more enjoyable. I hope Weak3n makes the switch eventually like other streamers have because I enjoy his streams a lot. Weak3n I know you’ve said you’re not a fan of the game, but after the latest huge patch it would be dope if you gave it another try. All love brother 🫶

Nah, Predecessor like every other rendition of paragon will more than likely fail. Something with Paragon is extremely cursed and Epic intentionally released the assets in order to spread it.
