He doesn’t like confrontation, doesn’t know How to have a genuine conversation, and very dismissive. I feel sad for Erica, he literally lured her like a predator, swept her off her feet, made a song about her and once he had her locked in with marriage and a kid, his skin started to shed.

The timeline is so comical! Narcissists are SO predictable. HE lovebombed her and locked her down with a baby/marriage, the only time he showed “emotion” (the theatrical crying) was when he was trying to look good in front of a crowd at his marriage, and the minute he knew he had her, he starts neglecting/gaslighting her and deflecting all his negativity.

The level of toxicity is sickening. For a man to sit in the presence of a breaking woman and feel nothing is the saddest thing ever. Especially when he is the root cause of her pain. Yet, I bet he would empathise with a man or woman with missing limbs begging for food. That woman went through so much especially with the son. I understand falling out of love, but I refuse to understand a man despicable behaviour towards a woman who bore his children. I guess they both are in a broken state. We need to normalise therapy and healing. Too many broken people, breaking people.

The idealization is real. It’s like a kid who gets his dream toy and it breaks in 3 days. When they see you have a weakness, or mistreat you and one day you finally have had enough, it’s like “why is it doing this??? I want my money back” This happened to me and it was bizarre how after I started standing up for myself, the person treated me like there was something wrong with me. Like I was malfunctioning and needed to be fixed.

I got out of a relationship with a guy like this a year and a half ago. This guy was my first real boyfriend, so I felt like I was on cloud 9 during the early stages of the relationship. Once my defenses came down, he switched like a light! The resemblance of Safaree’s narcissism and emotionally abusive behavior is so uncanny 😖 even the red flags such as the self-centered compliments, lack of empathy, and the idolization. Even with the red flags, I felt like he would be my one and only and it took me a while to leave him 😢 I have come to terms with the fact that none of it was my fault and have worked hard to unlearn codependency. I went through the same & it was also my first meaningful relationship. I kept holding on to false hope. 4 years wasted. I was so clueless on how to maneuver within a relationship since he was my first boyfriend and he ended up being a gaslighter. We didn’t know any better. I understand it was a lesson but I could’ve done without the trauma. He persistently pursued me for years although I wasn’t interested. That was my intuition. Finally gave that man a chance just for him to completely switch up. I’d never wish narcissistic abuse on anyone. It’s been 2 years and I’m still recovering. Those narcs have to destroy you before they let you leave but I thank God for His grace. I got to escape without kids. I would have been miserable to be stuck with someone like that.

But even then Safaree was also doing baby making activities knowing he was the one who didn't want another baby and he put all the responsibility of not getting pregnant on the person who he knew (because she said so) did want another baby. I was with a covert narcissist for 5 months. Its taken more than 2 years to get over it with strict NC and a lot of work. But I still carry the scar of the situation, and I think one of the biggest things hurting the healing process is you do feel like you got scammed. So even if you heal from the trauma bond, you still carry the weight of being scammed.

When I had my son I was really emotional, scared and depressed because my baby daddy wasn't supportive. Every time I tried to express my feelings to him, I couldn't stop myself from crying but that irritated him. He would degrade me saying I was very weak. If you could see the disgust on his face🙄it made me hate myself and actually believe I was a weak woman. I was scared of being a single mom so had to put up an act of a happy woman. I lost mind, self esteem, weight and self worth. Can't believe I left him and rebuilt myself. Now he tries to be friends with me, but I don't let him near me. I allow him be a father to our son, but that's how much he'll get close to me. I can't believe I let that man do me that. But hey we learn from our life experiences☺️

Honestly, this is so scary to me. I have been in multiple relationships with a narcissist and every time I think I know how to recognise them they show up in a different form. He looks like the stereotypical "nonchalant" funny guy that is so chill and laidback when in reality he is not a good person. It's so hard for a woman to have her emotions validated when you date a narcissist because they are so good at hiding it that you's always the crazy one. It's even harder to protect yourself from narcissists because some of them are patient and will make themselves into becoming your ideal just so they can manipulate you. Like one of my ex fully told me the only reason he pursued me was that he wanted to prove to himself that he could bag a girl like me. I was just there for his ego. anyways stay safe out there ladies

My father is a narcissist. One thing I learned is boundaries. I am never afraid of dating someone who is controlling or a narc or anything negative because I am so strong in myself and my boundaries. Once you have boundaries there is nothing they can do to you. No one can ever control me or devalue me. Once you find value in yourself you will notice the red flags. You should look into attachment styles. It will be so easy to read the person you are dating and also to get to know yourself and improve yourself as well.

I had to see the video to clearly understand what type of a man he really was not the imaginary father I pictured in mind, later I got affected by men who showed similar traits to my father's character it took me a long time to not feel hatred and have low self-acceptance towards myself but thank god that I am in a position where I am more aware, conscious and learn from my past trauma and mistakes. Now I am able to have strong boundaries and also be able to question and try to find out people's real motives in general. IT WAS A LONG TIME COMING BUT I STILL RISE

You were on point with everything!! As you were talking, I kept having flashbacks of my own situation so would pause the video. This whole Erica & Safari thing is triggering. Especially after I saw how skinny Erica got because I lost so much weight from my own narcissistic relationship. It looked so unhealthy. I loved when you said “Narcs don’t deserve you but will act like you don’t deserve them” that is so true! Before this video I thought the ex was a covert narc but after watching this, he act so much like Safari, he was definitely an overt narc. The women in his family were more covert narcs & toxic codependents. In the end I felt tag teamed by all of them because narcs stick together like a clan. I have done the inner work to heal from any codependency issues, people pleasing ways, and have gotten rid of the savior complex. I stuck by that man all because I felt sorry for him and wanted to try to save or heal him. I learned the importance of placing boundaries. I never put up with bs before my narc ex but it’s like you’re under a spell once involved with them. I feel for Erica and any women who’s dealt with this. For awhile I was mad at myself, mad at the world, mad at God but God didn’t do this and I can’t blame myself for not knowing better but I can take accountability for my part such as overstaying in an unhealthy situation with a person who genuinely treated me like sh*t. I had no business being with him and deep in my intuition I knew that because I kept turning him down but he was so persistent just as Safari was with Erica. Then he pulled the bait and switch once he had me. I didn’t know who he turned into. Their masks eventually slips. Narcs will leave you completely destroyed if you let it get there so save yourself! Break the trauma bond. Theres no limit to how low they will go. I just want to hug Erica. God grant her Your peace 🙏🏽

This reminds me of why my marriage ended after only four months lol. Thank goodness we didn’t have kids in the mix. I actually don’t want kids anymore, even if I get married again (to a great guy) because I don’t want to take the risk that the guy will change. I don’t want me or my kids to deal with that bs. Id rather not risk it at all.

Even "normal people" who don't "have much to lose" should consider a prenup because it is an agreement that in case things go south, you are still able to keep your share of what you need in order to feel financially protected. A lot of women get prenups (involving alimony/spousal support) bc they were housewives in the marriage and nowhere to go in the absence of a prenuptial agreement.

Girl this is a great video breaking down a man filled with indifference and apthay towards his woman. The disregarding, dismissive and manipulative behaviours in this man is truly unsettling! Could you do a video on your weight loss journey? You look amazing!! 😘

Breeny…. I was speechless after watching this. Re watched it three times…. You truly have a gift. This highlighted my entire relationship in a nutshell. Talking about someone being a narcissist and actually seen in action, really seeing through another’s experience, actually saves you. The insight and clarity is invaluable. I cannot thank you enough 😥 one of the most helpful videos I’ve honestly seen. UGH. Makes me not feel alone. And not BLAME myself. That man is a NUT. People like this suck the life out of you.

You literally just dissected my parents whole 25 year long marriage in 1 hour, down to my mom being pushed to file for divorce. My dad must be Safaree's mentor or something because there's just no way. It's scary seeing someone else deal with an overt narcissist because my mom and I always thought we were crazy and the love bombing made it difficult to tell anyone about the abuse... I truly pray someone is watching this and taking all the hints seriously. Love & Light

Love how you broke down the difference between “in love” and infatuation. The American language makes people use the word “love”incorrectly I noticed

I’ve been through a few of these codependent moments, mainly when I’m making a financial change like moving, adding another job, or dating someone that lacks their own car/place… I’ve learned to keep boundaries, but another thing I’ve learned is that once a narcissist see’s they can’t verbally insult you due to you being self aware, they’ll literally make shit up. For example the last guy told me I needed to get in the gym, little did he know I was in the gym heavy, and that didn’t stop with him… I’m not overweight actually closer to the under for my height so at the time I had abs. Yet he had bigger boobs than me. Always tried to degrade me on the levels he couldn’t meet, another time he said my teeth were black, yet I’ve always had perfect teeth that I’ve prided myself with (one cavity, no gaps in a family of braces 😁 type of Pride) Yet his were very crooked and he needed an emergency root canal due to him not cleaning properly and getting an infection in multiple places. The way I dressed, he tried to shame me for waiting to spend $200 on work pants, yet only owned 3 pair of pants before his random shopping spree. 😅🥴

This is the one of the best videos I have seen on you tube . Thank you for highlighting this subject. This hits me hard personally because my ex was exactly the same as Safaree & the best thing I ever did in my life is leave that toxic situation. I thank God that me & my children are free from this.

No seriously. Can't lie I've been through something similar. They say and do everything you like in the beginning and have you feeling like you can finally breathe. Then as the relationship progresses things start to change and you start seeing the exact opposite of everything they showed you. It's so sad because the more you see the more detrimental it is to the relationship. And slowly but surely you become fed up and that person goes from the one to the lesson in due time.
