One of my favorite things to do is take myself on dates. I start with flowers, a long hot bath, a delicious meal (even one that I prepare while I listen to music and drink a glass of wine), I hug myself, kiss my reflection and sing “here and now” by Luther Vandross to my reflection, looking myself in the eyes the entire time.

I adore that you pointed out the difference between a SOFT life compared to a LUXURY life. Hopefully this will stop people from only thinking their life is worth living once they’ve achieved that level of success. A soft life is already tangible to you, you just have to activate it.

Such a good reminder when you said, “PAY THAT PARKING TICKET”. I got outstanding medical bills that I haven’t dealt with. Went straight on the phone to apply for financial assistance. So good to remember that we don’t need to stress over things! Get it done little by little and stay on top of it! 💖 thanks for the message girl UPDATE!! The medical bills I had were over 25k in debt, I had no insurance, I was working a minimum wage job. After I applied I waited two months. The letter came back saying I owe now owe ZERO DOLLARS!! I have a huge weight lifted off my shoulders now! God is good!!! 💛

I agree with a lot of these tips, especially the one about having a routine to add structure to your day. I just had that epiphany these last few months lol Because I am not tied to a 9-5 job, I just started doing things whenever since I didn't feel pressured by time. Pretty soon I started feeling like I couldn't get anything done because I had all these thoughts of what I needed and wanted to do listed in my mind with no kind of organization. I realized I had to be more intentional with my days.

Throw money at good shoes. That's been my lesson this year, cheap shoes break fast you end up buying 2, cost the same as buying it better quality 1x that'll last longer in the first place. #softlife lol

But then the buckle broke on the front and I said “see that’s why I don’t like cheap shoes” lol. But I agree. Good shoes all the way.

I love how you mentioned rejecting struggle love! I recently learned that part of rejecting struggle love means rejecting watching things that make it a source of entertainment (crazy “funny” story times on KZread about a messy ex, trashy/messy tv show moments, song lyrics etc), and that’s really helped me repent (‘turn around’) my way of thinking in this regard. Also sidebar: I love you so much Breeny! Your transparency and wisdom as well as you detailing the realities of your walk with God have helped me through so much over the past 5 years! I’ve been watching you since your Soul Surgery series as well as your celibacy talks, and your most recent videos have changed my life once again all the more so. You are a blessing, may God continue to hold you close to Him, blossom you, grow you in divine wisdom, and help you wax stronger and stronger in Him in Jesus Mighty Name Amen!!!! Love always, Molayo

i think the maternal instincts in women make so many want to be praised for being the one who tamed the lion. but we lose ourselves at the end of the process, if we ever do succeed even. A 'soft life' is a conscious attempt to stay with you, love you, do you, fill up your tank and also re-evaluate where you are, who you are with and what's next. unfortunately we cannot remain there, because living is an active process. Soft life is self love. thanks for this one Bree. lovely PJs, they are indeed soft on the eyes😂

I love living with intention and in love and grace. I don’t struggle I work smart not hard. It all just looks and feel well on me. I needed this so bad! First off, I loooooove the way you express these ideas and thoughts. But I am terrible with imposter syndrome. I grew up poor but I have worked my butt off all of my life and my brain knows I can afford things. But I have so much guilt thinking, who am I to spend what I learned was “frivolous” growing up. Very rarely I will make an “extravagant” purchase like my recent Tiffany’s “divorce” ring to replace the engagement ring I was in love with looking at all of the time because I just felt it was so pretty. I stalked the Tiffany’s ring for 2 years. I had the money the whole time but I didn’t finally buy it until I started working a second job. I’m in love with the new ring because I BOUGHT it, ME…and it’s so pretty. But when you say how you know have the money, stop making things hard (which I do), have an abundance mindset (which I don’t), you really hit home. So thank you so so much.

I just want to thank you so much for your channel, videos, and your work. I am in the midst of a very tough breakup right now. And you’ve been reminding me that I can still build the life I want without anyone else. I will just nurture myself and everything else will follow.

I love this!!! I really needed this laid out for me. I finally have come to a place (not without hardwork) where I am no longer struggling to survive and am working on breaking that poverty mindset. I want to live a soft life. I am super creative and my husband encourages me but I kept finding I was having an inner struggle. These points will help me untangle that inner mess. Again, another awesome video Breeny! And you look on point in all your videos Soo pretty.

Whewwww, I needed this! When I say this speaks volume especially for me a WOMAN OF COLOR! Baby, Im young and TIRED of living this hard life that I watched my mom, grandma, aunties, cousins, friends, etc, live. Most people think living a softer life means spending lots of money, like the luxury lifestyle is suggesting, but you hit every point exactly that it is NOT the same at all. Take a breath, love yourself, trust in GOD and cherish every bit of your life. Great content Breeny, as usual! 🤎
