In that last goal he was one man amongst 5 Geelong players, he shrugged off the first and then shrugged off the second who happened to be none other than Dangerfield who couldn't even hold onto his hips as Dusty swung around and kicked that crazy goal. He's a freak, the GOAT of Finals!!!

Greatest finals player already, that's set in stone. But not so sure about that. It is his style and he knows what he's doing but he just plays his role and does what's needed even if what he does and touches turns to gold. If he played every year like 2017 til now he would be the greatest ever. But he's smarter than that. No point wiping himself out when he can do what's needed (which is plenty enough) and then come crunch time he's in 5th gear and destroys everyone like he has.

Yep agree, both phenomenal players, that is for sure. Lethal won 8 best & fairests in a dominant team that contained players like Peter Knights, Hudson etc, was in the top 4 for many years. You hear the players say that one of the greatest accolades is to win a best & fairest in a premiership year, Lethal did it 3 times (only equalled by Bartlett). Have a look at Leigh's 1977 season, averaged 28 disposals & kicked 91 goals.. That's rarefied air. Perhaps Dusty can match him in time, who knows.

Dusty is up there. But to judge him best ever because of 3 norms is a stretch. He's deserved all 3, but who else at Richmond is putting there hand up to win it? Those Hawks teams of the 80's and the recent Hodge led teams, and the Voss led Brisbane teams all had multiple players that could've won it each year...even Geelongs recent GF wins had multiple great players. Hodge won his 2nd medal over Lewis who had almost 40 possessions and Mitchell who had mid 30's and Langford who had similar stats to what Dusty just had, 20 odd possies and 3 goals, a couple of well timed important goals too. Obviously Langford is no Dusty, but no one at Richmond is stealing votes from Dusty. Just trying to bring a bit of perspective to a media that immediately forgets the past whenever judging the present.

Who else at Richmond is putting their hand up to win it! I can't imagine that anyone really played any good when they thumped Adelaide in 2017, annihilated GWS last year or brutalised Geelong in the second half of this one, so I get your point. It's the one-man Dusty show, I mean all the hapless teammates are basically just stage decorations and extras on the road to Dusty's latest gift best on ground award. Please spew out some more random meaningless stats from old grand finals, that would be fantastic and definitely prove your point that Luke Hodge is the MAN.
