How do they know? Do the wizards know and send more owles, or do the owles know? Does this happen with every letter they send? Are they spying on then? @@sky_warriorak1685 I wouldn't call it a plot hole. Kinda unimportant too But I like taking a closer look at the text for the same reasons I don't enjoy the story anymore. But I also don't see the escapist aspect at all, because in the end, Hogwarts is just a school that's more dangerous than normal. Everything bad from real life, still exists in Harry Potter... But you don't typically think about it it while reading. The description of how beautiful a Hippogryph is can't bite and scratch you to pieces.

@@ArnLPs I never looked to Harry Potter for escapism either. And I’m honestly only on the third book (though I have seen all of the main movies). I suppose it isn’t a plot hole, yet I just look towards quick ways to resolve disagreements.

I never had the packing issue when it comes to bringing books on vacation. I grew up in a family of 6, and in order to fit everyone's bags into the car we were taught from an early age to only pack what you needed for the trip. Because of this, when it came to books, I would only pack the book I was currently reading and one more in case I finished the first one while we were gone. If I didn't grow up like this . . . I may have this problem too.
