Me too,,,,I might suggest to you, Roger, to replace the word "seek" with affect. I've never seen a performer that sings with so much emotion and empathy. I would pay anything (well, almost anything) to see her live at a concert in the US.

Thank you for that Samantha - I had to get tissues ready for this - it gets me every time, and I have listened to this many many times. Here her hair style was for the other song that she sang that day - You make me feel so young - from a movie in the 1940's hence the classic hair style. Having said that, the scene was set for a smooth and soulful rendition, how such a young person can deliver such an emotional story is beyond my comprehension. After the tears subside it leaves me feeling calm and relaxed, knowing that I am not the only one who has experienced such pain and sorrow. Of course in the song it says - "I 'll find someone like you" - there is never anyone else like that "you" - sometimes it hurts instead, but Angelina brings the therapy...

Adele is one of the best. But nobody can emit the emotion and soul of a song like Angelina. She has done over 7 Adele covers and I prefer her cover over Adele's every time. I think she reads the lyrics first before listening to the song. In this way she can understand the feeling and emotion the artist wants to convey. Then she arranges it to be able to dramatically convey the feeling and emotion to us. Her vocals, tones and smokiness do the rest. She is already The Greatest of All Time! Just amazing!!

Ic That's your imagination. Any arm movement you think you might see is merely self-expression. Angelina's piano skills at that time were not so advanced, especially since she never looked down had there been a keyboard.

Hi Samantha. Angelina has such a beautiful soul, she brings peace and tranquility in the midst of turmoil and chaos. Any time spent listening to Angelina Jordan is extra time added to your life by God.

Angelina is like a gift of nature. Sunsets. Sunrises. The air after a rain. A walk in the forest. Etc etc etc. These things are gifts from above.

This song by Angelina doesn’t get enough play. The problem is that Angelina has so many extraordinary videos that you can’t play all of them all the time. She chooses the perfect voice for these lyrics. Angelina expresses melancholy better than any singer I’ve ever heard-and the phrasing here moves in and out of her vocal fry so seamlessly. She has so many vocal tools in her command, and she has the musical intuition to use exactly what’s appropriate. And with all those tools, she never seems to over-sing. She more than does justice to these lyrics. It’s one of my favorites.

You really don't need to hope that we feel as you do because it is a given. At 67, she can still bring me to tears and that is what true artists do. They evoke emotion from their listeners. Sam, what can we say about her voice? It's magical! But, let's also recognize she has an unofficial master's degree in artistry. Everything she does, from rearranging classics and. like you pointed out, her appearance and getting lost in the song make for a thrilling listen. She's sitting in a chair and whenever she glances at the camera it's as if she's looking straight at everyone of us! You are so right. There are times when listening to Angelina is exactly "what the doctor ordered" and whatever is bothering us at that moment becomes less stressful. It's amazing.

You're my first choice for reactors. As for this video of our barefoot princess, the painting in the backround was done by Mery Zamani, Angelina's grandmother, and a child prodigy herself but in art and poetry. Most recently, Mery was the executive producer for Angelina's "Suspicious Minds" cover. Many have noticed Angelina closing her eyes when she sings. In several interviews she has spoken about this. She says that when she closes her eyes, she goes away to a special place, where the music is and that it's a very happy place. Whenever she finds her inspiration, it's a blessing to us to share in. I'm so glad to be living in the age of Angelina.

Whenever she covers a heartfelt ballad by Adele, she always brings more passionate penetration than Adele. Adele is great, but she's a non-jazz singer whereas Angelina is. True jazz performers are the ultimate singers with regard to songs like this and Angelina is the #1 jazz singer in the world, having the baton passed to her by Amy Winehouse and Billie Holiday, the two most unique jazz singers of all time.
