Angelina is amazing!

When Angelina does a cover she is never trying to "out-belt" or otherwise compete with the original, she does it her way, and we are all the beneficiaries of it.

She is sublime. The paintings she sits in front of are by her grandmother.

I can't overstate how important it is to realize that Angelina's being rooted in jazz, just allows her to inflect in ways that a non-jazz singer just can't do. What it produces is an amount of passionate releases that incorporate Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse sound emitting elements that just electrifies the inner soul. No other artist does this to me when it comes to singing ballads.

With the vast majority of vocalists, the listener is waiting for that big moment, hitting that high note. Angelina treats every note as the most important in the song making every second of the performance the big moment.

She makes each song her own. Doesn’t try to copy the original. Perfect pitch. Every note is perfect. She is a gift to our world. Thanks Rxyce!! 😊🌹🌹🌹

Angelina has covered Adele more than any other artist she covers, and she nails it every time. One of my personal favorites of her Adele covers is "Make You Feel My Love" (on her cover channel). Rusty, “Make You Feel My Love” is a Bob Dylan song, which Adele covered. If you refuse to acknowledge this you don’t care about the music craft, or copyright law.

@@jeffstumpf9129 I knew someone would say it :P I am as confident that she is covering adele's version of "Make you feel my love", as I am that she is covering Amy's "Valerie" and not the Zutons (who did it originally) ;)

This just shows that the same song can be sung in different ways. We are all individuals and our emotions are individual. Adele sang this as a powerful love song. This performance was more of an afterthought, reflecting in her own time. For a 13 year old to have a grasp of this sort of emotion is amazing.

I love watching you react to Angelina. It bring such joy to your face. As it does to all her fans. I suggest her acoustic version of STAY. It’s exquisite in it’s simplicity. And the emotional projection of a 12 year old girl. It’s hard to know where she pulls from to interpret a song of profound heartbreak. But as usual she nails it.

Angelina will be giving us many more years of her singing talent. She is the real thing... I can't wait till she starts to write songs for herself... Amy Winehouse and Freddie Mercury in one package... Hope she outlasts them both.

Angelina makes everything her own. That low register is rare and helps make her unique, among the top female singers.

She sings it the Angelina way. Often, she does not “belt out” portions of a song. We obviously know she can hit those high notes. I love it when she slows down the cadence of a song to inject more passion. If I am in the kitchen I always put the butter away so it doesn’t end up as a puddle. 🌸

This time we didn't hear the powerhouse vocals that initially got us hooked on Angelina, and we were probably waiting for. BUT what we did hear was her just as amazing soft and melancholy sad voice that gives us a totally different vibe, one that matches the feelings which the lyrics are talking about. Angelina has proven again that she can sing, knows how to make a song her own, and gives us something different and unexpected every time. Royce, I saw that you were waiting for those Adele high moments in the song, but in the end you appreciated the spin Angelina put on it, maybe a little jazzy, bluesy? I like you like the variety this girl give us.

Always walk away feeling full and content. She's quite the phenom. We all got to join in her journey of growth and discovery. We don't just enjoy her art but we grow with it just as well. We can see that this is possible too. I feel better and I do better

How is a 13 year old able to interpret the emotion of this song? Adele lived her songs and wrote and performed from experience. It's magical how Angelina sings with so much feeling and knowledge of not just the words and melody but the meaning of the composition.

Like every other Adele song she covered, along with every Amy Winehouse song, and probably a few others, I never heard the songs until Angelina sang them. I've gone back to check a couple of the originals, and couldn't get half way through them. They just seemed 'bland' to me. (Valerie by Amy, All I Ask by Adele, and Whitney Houston/Mariah Carey When You Believe) In my opinion, these are all Angelina's songs, and not covers. I've seen a lot of singers in my 66 years, but this young lady owns every song she sings.

Exactly. It's not called the Great American Songbook for no reason. Angelina seems to rise to the level of the song. Covering Billie Holiday or Screamin' Jay Hawkins, she's beyond fantastic. I try to think of better singers than Angelina at her best and they are all dead.

Angelina version is more warm and intimate, coming closer to you with her airiness like a whispery in your ear, and that soul that cut right through you. Adel version is fantastic, so don’t say this is in competition, but a different take.

AJ is utterly brilliant at covering Adele songs. Note: The audio for this video might say that it is "enhanced" but it isn't. Someone who wants to get a name for his or herself makes a minor tweak and usually makes things sound muffled. There are better audio versions of this, much like the original video Angelina gave us of Etta James' "I'd rather go Blind", which sounds like she is singing inside a cardboard box now.
