"THIS" is why I only listen to and watch Angelina reaction videos. She did this at 10 years old, she is 16 now, and has only got better in the past 6 years. Yes, there are other good singers out there, I'm 67 and I've heard a LOT of them, but there is only one Angelina Jordan, and she is more than just a good singer. She is more than just a great singer. She is an amazing artist, and has a grasp on EVERYTHING that is involved in every song she performs. No one, and I mean NO ONE has touched me emotionally in all my life, like this young lady does. She doesn't just sing a song, she draws you in to her world and makes you FEEL the song. If there are people that don't feel "IT", and I know there are, all I can say is I'm sorry for you.

Hi Samantha! ✨Angelina just has an intrinsic ability to keep blowing your mind with every performance, doesn't she? It's insane to truly put together all the facts around her incredibly broad talent pool. So many people say "for her age" - and while, yes, it's astounding and utterly ridiculous for her age, the abundance of her talents (in all aspects) boggles the mind to have all that she is and does in one person for anyone, at any age. We are so lucky to be alive during her youth. I read once it's as if we were alive to watch Mozart grow up! And omg, can't wait for your reaction to Million Miles! All of Angelina's originals are incredible - but that one is soooo deep and emotionally cathartic. I always love your reactions to AJ. Thank you, hun! Have a beautiful weekend! 😊

I believe that two of the biggest influences. with regard to Angelina's jazz approach in her vocals, has to be Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse. Both, at opposite ends of the jazz spectrum, redefined jazz singing in ways that were never heard before. 'Breathy' Billie and 'raw' Amy are just so much a part of Angelina's sound which is unique onto itself.

By age 10 AJ had reached an insane level of voice mastery. This is most likely before her voice began changing, something that she has Handled seemingly without issue. An extended video shows her tweaking the new lyrics in the car ride to the auditorium so she is reading them as she sings. This was the 2nd take since she was not happy with the 1st!

There is a cute video (on Mozarz?) of her listening to the playback of the first session, and her facial expressions are priceless. Like she was eating lemons. I don't think there's reference to suicide in Back to Black. There is a very strong reference to suicide in Gloomy Sunday, which she performed at Norway's Got Talent at age seven, so that hypothesis does not compute. There is however a lot of explicit sexual references in Back to Black and that's not something you want a child to sing in public. But I think she has added something very beautiful to the original.

My only qualification for having an opinion on Angelina's performances is not being tone-deaf. The experts can do the nuts-and-bolts analysis, and I'll enjoy that. What impresses me the most is how Angelina has always come across as an unpretentious girl that usually gives a shy little smile and a wave before the music starts - and then she enters an entirely separate musical world. The best part: She seems to be able to take the hand of the audience and bring them along for the journey. What a gift! Then, when the music stops, she quietly transforms back to being an unpretentious that usually gives a shy little smile and a wave...

Sam, loved your reaction. You said several times that you were not expecting that performance but I don't think you ever said why. What were you expecting?

AJ's acapella open for Bohemian Rhapsody demonstrates "perfect pitch" which carries to he rehearsal of "At Last" in the video kzread.info/dash/bejne/iImTxsR-c9LFZco.html . You will see her get irritated with the band's inability to maintain her desired tempo and stay in tune. She makes the band do it over three times to get it right. You will see who is in control... an 8-year old! lol.

Sorry, Sam, this was the second take of this song, THE SECOND TAKE, what a catastrophe, 😄, AJ was miffed. There is a video from behind the scenes. She, AJ, had erred, how absolutely embarrassing. As a perfectionist, AJ can forgive others, but not so easily herself.

Every time she brings tears in my eyes cause it is so beautiful. Angelina Jordan ASTAR (the name says it all), this young norwegian genius is imo the best singer on the planet! I am 69 y old and have never heard a singer like her in my whole life.

There is another video showing a longer version she is changing the lyrics in the car because her mom would not let her sing the original because it was not age appropriate and if she didn't change it, she couldn't record it. She had to do it without changing the music because it was already set with the band. She was not happy with the first take and you could tell she didn't like it,, even at her young age she is well known for doing everything in one take, She felt she messed up one of her own transitions and wanted to redo it,, this is the second take.. she is 10years old here

Amy’s is “R” rated version so it would be inappropriate for her to sing those words at her age. I think her parents have input on what she sings.
