Fantastic. I didn't lose my dongle, but I had 2 sets, mouse and keyboard, each set paired with a different dongle. In one set the mouse had broken, which is why I bought the new set - annoying to have to replace the keyboard too. Now the new keyboard is broken (I dropped it, hard), so I was stuck with a mouse and a keyboard, from different sets, paired with different dongles. With this, I was able to use them both together with the same dongle - old keyboard, new mouse. Perfect! Thanks for this, it's still very useful!

This is exactly what I want to do. I bought a new keyboard but the mouse isnt great so I want to pair my old mouse with the new keyboard, then I have a spare mouse to use or to give to someone else.

Is the dongle you used non unifying? I'm trying to hook up a non unifying keyboard with a unifying dongle and it doesn't take it, so I'm figuring a non unifying dongle that didn't originally come with this keyboard can be re- programed to work with this non unifying keyboard?

OH MY GOSH! Thank you! PSA- don't buy a unifying dongle for older keyboards/mouses without the unifying logo on it. This is awesome.

That´s great. Already was looking for a new set, since somehow I seem to have lost the original dongle. But I had another one left, also non-"unifying". Saved me some money, worked very easily!

You forgot to mention, if the keyboard or mouse hasn't got a button, simply remove and restore the battery twice...it worked for me with the combo keyboard and mouse.

Your idea just made my old Logitech keyboard and mouse refunctional. After I lost its receiver I was planning to buy a unifying receiver but the cost of unifying receiver was almost equal to a new set of mouse and keyboard, so I didn't buy. And voila the Logitech connection utility along with a new receiver of a new Logitech mouse made my old Logitech mouse and keyboard re functional. Thanks a lot.

Thanks very much. Took a chance on a Logitech keyboard and mouse combo in a charity shop for £5. Of course when I opened it, it didn't have the receiver, but managed to reprogramme one I had for a Logitech mouse.

This video helped me prevent two mouse / keyboard pairs from ending up in the ever-increasing mountain of global electrical waste! Much more helpful than the Logitech help pages.

Thank you!!! It wasnt exactly what I was looking for, but that's on me for not researching correctly. You certainly did however, point me in the right direction, I was in need of the Logitech Unifying software but hey! I got on the website and that was help enough!!!

Works like a charm. I paired my mk295 keyboard with my modified m221 and sold the m220 (the original mouse came with mk295)

I was looking for this some time now!! Logitech support told me that there is no way I can reprogram my keyboard and mouse. Thanks techgurl!!

Because I have a k295 kit, a keyboard k295 and a mouse m220, but also I have a MX Master 2S and I realized that the dongl of both devices is different. And I can't pair between them. Also I tried with 2 different progrms and both of them say connection failure. They just work with their own dongle and I don't know what to do, because the K295 keuboard is excellent to use with Mx Mater 2S nouse, but I can't pair them with a single dongle. I'd be really glad if you advice me, please!!!

Just a tip for MX Master users that can switch to 3 profiles. I had a spare dongle that I wanted to use for work but I couldn't connect it via Connection Unity. The trick was - UNPAIR the MX Mouse from Windows Bluetooth, then it Unity will recognize and pair it after the ON/OFF method. Good luck!

Hey i was just wondering. I too have a mk320 keyboard and i lost my receiver but which receiver did you use after you lost your old one? And is there the orange unifying receiver symbol there at the back of your keyboard because mine doesn’t have one.

You need receiver without the orange logo. Just buy it with the link in video description
