Pairing and reusing Logitech wireless devices with USB wireless receivers (Normal and Unifying).

Ғылым және технология

Don't throw away your old Logitech wireless devices and USB receivers! This video will show you how to re-pair or add more connected Unifying Devices to your receivers.
For non-Unifying receivers, go to:
logi101.com/logitech-connecti...
to download the Reconnect Utility. This only works on Windows.
For Unifying receivers, go to:
support.logi.com/hc/en-us/art...
Mac and Windows available.

Thank you, this worked perfectly. I had lost the receiver for an expensive keyboard/mouse combo. I was able to buy a cheap keyboard/mouse combo and connect the older combo with the new receiver using your instructions.

Hi, I have just bought one of these mice: M185, code MR0087. However, I cannot find any Logitech software that detects it (Connectivity Utility, Options+, SetPoint, etc.). I own another M185 mouse (just bought previously and the difference in label is that the code is MR0085) and that one is easily detectable. I have the same issue with a brand new M220 mouse (no detected by any Logitech software). Have you come across a similar situation?

  • @pishedbloke

    @pishedbloke

    9 ай бұрын

Hi, the M185 and M220 should be Plug & Play devices, what OS (Windows 11?) are you using? Also, are you trying to use the same USB receiver for all your mice? Each mouse should come with its own USB receiver already paired, so you should use the corresponding receiver with each mouse.

Yes, once it is paired it should work on other PCs. Do the paring at home then move both the mouse and receiver to the office PC.

Do they all have to be Logitech to work? I also have a extra Logitech mouse that came with a keyboard and I dont want to use. I also have an old Kensington mouse that doesnt work well but would want to use its USB receiver to pair with the basic Logitech mouse. Can that work?

Unfortunately these only work for Logitech, the TX/RX is using their own wireless band is not Bluetooth. If you have a Bluetooth mouse it could pair to the BT receiver in your PC wirelessly.

  • @pishedbloke

I have not tried this combination. According to the Livewire website not all Logitech devices support this: Do all wireless Logitech mice support the unifying receiver? No. For example, Logitech's gaming mice don't support the Unifying Receiver and instead use Logitech's "Lightspeed" wireless feature. You can identify wireless Logitech mice compatible with Unifying by the square, sun-like icon printed on the mouse. This icon is also on the Unifying Receiver. I guess there's no harm trying it out using the methods I showed to see if they work, some users reported that "some" devices have cross functionality.

I have a MK320 keyboard/mouse combo that's missing its reciever that I'm trying to get working. I have nine recievers with Logitech's name on them. I am using the connection utiltiy. You can check if the receivers are Unifying or Non Unifying.. I think the MK320 is using its own USB receiver and it is non Unifying as it does not have the orange logo on it.
