RC ADVENTURES - Does it WORK? Rock Crawling TiPS & TRiCKS - TOYOTA FJ CRUiSER - HPi VENTURE
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
MY FiRST RUN with my new HPI VENTURE!! I am super stoked! I wanted to give you guys some great tips and tricks while crawling with my new truck - and testing the capabilities of this new machine. This truck is nice and compact, and really surpassed my expectations. The suspension flex is great - and the tires (for a stock tire) is pretty acceptable. The somewhat sticky compound really held up well - though I question how they would do in a colder environment. But really - there is no really good compound when the temperatures drop close to 0c. Another strong point of this truck is the wheel base. Though it is not as long as some others - this truck traverses the rocks without always getting caught up. Some of the improvements I would like to see on this truck will be the Steering servo, as well as the belly drag. The truck would benefit from a slightly higher belly, as to not get hung up on higher points. But - this is a personal choice, and of course my driving.
Overall this truck did super well on a rather difficult and treacherous rock course! I would indeed suggest this truck to filks who are looking for a stable, and fun rig! Modifying it is all about personal choice, and "making it your own!"

Not a trail crawler - *yet*... Crawling isn't exactly what a 3.3 T-maxx does well (which also applies to my very old 2wd Tyco mini bandit and touring cars). LOL
Re watching this video again, so I have a HPI Venture. You rarely see them at ‘crawler meets’ over here in the UK. I personally think, in a market that is swamped with Trx4’s and scx10’s. The hpi venture is super capable, it’s I think one of the most under rated trucks. Hpi has that tarnished name and the body is the type some people don’t like. I’ve changed out the original wheels and tires as the standard ones aren’t that good for trails and mud. The steering servo as the standard one gave up on me then added a HW1080 esc because I had it spare. I took my truck out recently and really tested it and it really surprised me. It held its own and put some more common trucks to shame. Really great truck. You should do another video of the venture.
Love these videos!! Thanks for you humor, encouragement, and positivity; so cool to see your whole family here too! I have a rig because of you and your channel, and I love it! Hope you find some time after a sabbatical to return...not to entertain us, but to remember your play and joy. Don’t worry about the drama and just have fun. That’s why we are here.
Thanks for SHaring!! I love this rig, and you showing it stock is showing a fully capable rig without the NEED for mods... Thanks again to you, Jem and Maurice for sharing your lives with us :D

Do commentaries help you with your driving my friend?! I often wonder if me speaking through the videos help.. or hinder your viewing experience ?
@CCxRC
6 жыл бұрын
I find that commentary adds personality to the videos. You have a big personality, so that makes it enjoyable (for many people...look at your subs). I also like your shorter videos set to music, but I wouldn't want that to be the only driving content because it starts to feel lifeless and sterile. I don't have a huge channel, but when people starting out ask me about growth, I mention that one of the easier ways to help grow is to inject their personality. Many people come to KZread to watch and learn from "people". So yeah...keep talking. We like the connection it gives us to you and what you are doing.

And it's great too that you have your family involved.
I love mine, mods are battery relocation, aluminum wheels and Tsl swamper sx tires and reefs servo. It's a beast
I love your driving videos.😍 Both you and your wife make a very good work with this. I was in the line for this beautiful Hpi Toyota, but it never came, so when Traxxas TRX-4 came I bought it. And I love it. But I need to build a track and soon it's snow here in Sweden. I wish you all a good drive and good luck with everything. And keep doing videos like them you have done.😊👍
that was awesome how the fly landed on your hand haha
Great video. With our HPI Venture we replaced the shock oil with 20 weight. It now seems to crawl so much better. It is a lot smoother and is nice and creamy it makes it look more scale.
Ha ha... my son loves to run with my wraith. So cute!
Great video thumbs up and you all have a great night
What a beautiful piece of property you have, I'm jealous.
