I recently went with my wife to see the movie, Poor Things. I knew absolutely nothing about it. It was totally mesmeric, particularly having no idea what it was about or what to expect next. So much so, that I probably missed much of the detail and nuance of the film. I left feeling that I really needed to see it all over again to fully appreciate it's craft. Ray's right. Trailers are absolutely ruining modern movies. Knowing the plot, characters and main action scenes, pretty much gives away the magic.

Love Ray Winstone. This is a very old interview. What you see is what you get with him. No affectations.

I grew up in the same area as the Winstone family, and went to the same primary school as his daughters. I bump into Lois periodically. Very nice girl! 😊
