Rattlesnake Gulch | On The Trail

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

It’s a family affair on this episode of Driving Line’s off-road series, “On the Trail,” as host Austin Stobaugh is joined by both his dad Ron Stobaugh and wife Courtney Schipper in beautiful Rattlesnake Gulch just outside Zion National Park. With numerous river crossings leading up to Toquerville Falls, there’s plenty of ways to have fun getting your tires wet. Just make sure that you don’t get in too deep!

It's always nice to have some big tires when you’re doing water crossings, and all three Jeeps didn’t disappoint in the rubber department. Starting with host Austin Stobaugh of Carbon Off Road’s 2009 custom JKU, he has 40-inch Nitto Trail Grapplers to give him good grip in the stream and the rocks. His wife Courtney brought out her 2002 stretched TJ also on 40-inch Trail Grapplers, and his dad Ron brought his 2012 JKU Wrangler Rubicon with 38-inch Trail Grapplers.
While the stream in Rattlesnake Gulch isn’t generally too deep, rocks and sediment can shift drastically based on the season or even the day. Make sure you go in slowly and don’t overcommit before you know what’s under the water. It’s all too easy to end up stuck with your engine flooded.

The video would be better if you did the commentary over video of trail driving vs showing video of lawn chair interviews. Comes across as a reality show audition.
