Fortune Creek to Gallagher Head Lake | On The Trail

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

There’s nothing quite like a trip through the woods of the Pacific Northwest ending at a picturesque mountain lake. That’s exactly what Driving Line will show you how to do on this episode of “On the Trail.” In it, they take on the Fortune Creek Trail that leads all the way up to the beautiful Gallagher Head Lake. The trail is narrow and treacherous, and you should always bring along some gear to help you fix your rig if it breaks down-which is much more likely than you might think.

1:40 Nissan Patrol, Lexus GX470, LS-Swapped Jeep Breakdown & Trail Essentials
4:07 Starting Fortune Creek Trail
5:32 Helping Stuck Off-Roader
7:00 Fixing Luke's Jeep
8:57 Through Cascade Range Off Road
10:47 Final Approach to the Lake
12:28 End of the Day at Gallagher Lake
Back to host another episode is Driving Line’s own Mike Sabounchi, and joining him on the trail ride are Luke Shuman of Hazzard Fab Worx and Kyle Saito. To get them safely up the mountain, Mike brought his trusty 2009 Lexus GX470 with an Eibach lift and 35-inch Nitto Recon Grappler all-terrain tires, Luke brought his 1991 LS-swapped Jeep Wrangler with a CJ nose and 40-inch Nitto Trail Grappler tires on TR beadlock wheels, and Kyle brought out his 1991 Nissan Patrol on 37-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires.
As we mentioned earlier, bringing gear for repair and recovery is critical, and that point was proven early on when they were able to save some people stranded on the side of a trail with a flat tire. Then right after fixing that problem, Luke’s Jeep sprung an oil leak, and they needed to plug that up before they could continue on. You never know what will happen, and if you aren’t prepared, you can quickly get stranded out in the middle of nowhere with no cell reception to call for help.
Of course, if you follow their guide and go with someone who knows the area, you can have a great time, even if things don’t go perfectly according to plan. Just know your limits and don’t take on something that your rig isn’t prepared for. This really is one of the best Jeep trails in Washington state and the Cascade Range.

4600 miles of roads 396 maintained. Bam. If you go to the lake there is a trail that loops over to Ingalls Pass. I go to Longs Pass. Because there is a road down. Lol. 😊 literally. You walk down and over to Mount Stuart. From lake you can out sorta southwest for a walk. The passes are 8 to 14 mile round trip. Or you can sit at the lake. More of a pond.

How come you guys didn't finish the trail and go to the top? The other trail is even narrower, had to fold the mirrors in on the megacab but made it all the way to the top, really fun drive.

Don't worry instead of Turing around they chose to keep bleeding oil all over the trail.

What's a locking device ? Is cutting trees legal? What's the cost to get in ? Does it have 5g service ? I'm just joking ? If you plan to visit the forests in Washington. Different passes are available for different forests. You may need one of them or all of them , idk about this place . It just seems I've needed a multi pass all in one day . Keep it green. Don't forget . Only you can prevent forest fires . Give hoot don't pollute. Pack it in pack it out . Dig a fricking hole to do your business , you know what I mean. It's not that hard to dig a hole . Check into volunteering to do some cleaning . It is worth it but shouldn't even be a problem . Where was this place when I had a way to get there.. Sorry for sharing all this here on your nice video with a creepy sound track. But it all needs more pointing out somewhere . Before all this beautiful scenery is taken from our sight as well.
