@@singolo4602 yeah it's blockable but considering the fact it's a full screen, invincible, zero frame, omni-directional super it's very unlikely you can have time to block it considering the zero frame unless you were already blocking before it's done.

I like the irony of condemning Ghost Rider for his crimes with Phoenix Wright.

I like how Dante's Super is literally just him spamming Stinger over and over again. You'd think it was DMC2 Dante instead of DMC3 Dante.

honestly, the only visual improvement i can think of in infinite is a bit of a personal preference, in that Nemesis's lvl3 is a bit clearer on what the fuck is going on (i know that him being a bit of a brown blob and not being able to tell what the hell it is is more source accurate, but still...)

Phoenix Wright's level 3 is amazing for how perfectly it recreates those key case-solving moments from the actual games. The close-up shot of Phoenix. Tapping the papers. Slamming the motherfuckin' desk. The point. All shot with the opponent going nuts. As a character, he's probably the best example of how to showcase and represent a series, and the level 3 "Ace Attorney" is the cherry on top. 10/10, indeed.

Phoenix Wright has a high probability of having the best super in any videogame ever, in my opinion

I think Amaterasu's one deserve more props here. If you played Okami to completion, you recognize each weapon she uses in the super, which are the strongest of each type. The reflector (disk) is the "Solar Flare", the rosary are the "Tundra Beads" and the glaive is the "Thunder Edge". Her level 3 is one of the most fantastic call-backs I've ever seen.

It's not just her level 3, Ammy's entire gameplay in MVC3 revolves around how she can switch between those three weapons, changing all of her normals and special moves depending on which one she equips. But for her level 3, the only thing she does with the disk is the uppercut to put them into the air which is a bit disappointing compared to the impact the other two weapons have in the super.

Gotta agree with Max, there's just so much fan service and effort put into Phoenix Wright's Level 3 that it is easily in the running for the best super in the game.

Fun fact about Wesker's level 3, in Vanilla Marvel, after he throws the missile at the character, instead of teleporting down like he does in this game, he just floated down to the bottom of the screen like a boss!

Not nearly enough, it's not impossible to find matches but you have to be ready to sit around for a while in between them. I find this weird as well, everyone hates MVCI (I'm disappointed by it but actually enjoy the gameplay enough to play occasionally) and yet UMVC3 on the PS4 seems super dead. Its only like 25 bucks too, you'd think the scorned fans would be flocking to it. Then again the lack of balance is a serious deterrent for even MVC fans.

I am going to have to go against the popular vote here, I am probably one of the very few people out there that actually enjoys the style in MVCI which I consider clean, while this one is very shadowy and more comic book style than the soft and clean 3D graphics in MVCI... ...That said, the sprites in MVCI look horrible close up (as in the story mode) but amazing otherwise in my opinion.

I know I'm REALLY late but in 15:20 Trish shoots you, throws sparda up with you and has it land on you, digging you into the ground

i think that ending a match with a super adds a lot to most supers. The slow motion/ still frame, the pose, the sfx it all just adds to the punch to not only that magneto super but each super. I think that should be considered though im not sure if thatd take too long to do. Great series i Love it

We need a rate the super for all fighting games so best to make it a series. Since you covered MVC3 in only makes sense to Segway into MVC infinite and then other MVC games before branching out. Thanks for sharing Max!!! An absolute joy of a video to watch.

Loving these episodes! Please don't stop them til you've done all the games. UMvC3 had my favorite supers as well, love that game to death.

If I could recommend a game, I'd say you check out the "Blazin'" moves from Def Jam: Fight for NY. Just a lot of really badass/over the top wrestling style attacks

I think ryus is fucking great. 9/10. The energy burst that shoots out when he punches them in the gut, the jet fume sound in the background, aw god it's so awesome.

It’s honestly amazing just how different Penance Stare feels between this game and Infinite. Objectively the only visual differences are a camera tilt and a fire tornado particle effect on the camera. But it just ties the look together so well and gives it this feeling of being dragged to hell.

Looking forward to more from this new series!

Zero's level 3 is much better in Tatsunoko vs Capcom.

Elias Nicolas Miranda The art style they gave MvCI downgraded some of those supers because the shading added flavor to it. And also Ghost Rider having no excuse as to why things went the way they did

SO many specials in this game that are magic. Really blew my mind away when this came out! Such fun and creative specials that were true to the characters.

I’d love to see you make this a full series, ranking every single ultimate attack in a bunch of different fighting games. Some suggestions: -The Final Smashes in Smash 4 -The Hypers of Skullgirls -The Hypers of Injustice 2 -The Level 3 Attacks in the WWE mobile game “Immortals” (made by NetherRealm Studios!)

Don't forget the fact that Wesker has a super where he takes off his sunglasses and his taunt or something replaces it. Really nice touch

my favorite moment in all the pro matches I've seen was from Scamby, who finished his opponent with an assist while he had Wesker put his sunglasses back on

I think you need to make your face cam bigger because part of the fun of these ratings is seeing the presenters face and establishing a viewer to presenter familiarity. Still awesome and enjoyable though and I would love to see more stuff like this in the future.

Great video. Hope you can do other games like KoF, TvC, SC, GG and possibly CvS2 and MK series. Even Boss Rage videos for future reference.

Personally, as much as i love Nemesis, i would've preferred his instant death necklift. Or shot a helicopter out of the sky and it lands on the opponent ~ similar to how he stopped Jill from escaping Raccoon City.

Glad to see you do this. I know you said it feels lazy to do these rating super compilations but it's really fun to see you grade them, especially when fighting games have so many amazing animatics.

32:40 the best hands down. Then the corner crouch M link into inferno, pop that level 3 X & get the party started right. Also stomping every 5 seconds helps as well.

I love that doctor doom's finishes into his neutral pose, it seems like he's just not respecting you. He seems bored.

The one note I'd like to make about Bionic Arm is that you often miss the fact that he has to use the arm to stop himself. When you hit the opponent, they pop up into the air and the camera follows them. If they block it or it whiffs, you can see Spencer dragging his arm on the ground, tearing it up.

There's so much detail in this game, that it almost makes you forget about the negative aspects of it Edit: you forgot to wiggle the stick for a ton more damage with haggars super

“Smack him with the big thing and then you DO DA SUPER!” and *“FULL SCREEN!!! INVINCIBLE!!! CANNOT ESCAPE!!!”* ARE MY ULTRA FAVORITE LINES FROM HIM

Never played this game but was watching this and GOD DAMN! That stage with The Hand and Daredevil sitting on the throne in the alternative costume with the 'hand' kanji above is just an amazing image!!! I WANT TO BUY THIS GAME JUST TO SEE THAT! Please tell me that's not a mod or something?
