Good setup! 10/10. A large number of stuff is not a problem, professionals often have it. The main thing is that the workplace and the things it consists of are of high quality and pleasant

Yeah, going all in minimalism sounds good in theory, but as soon as you start creating content, streaming, etc. You need camera stands, lights, extra screens ...

Looks good: you're getting a lot done in minimal space. I wasn't able to make out what window shades you have, but I like the pleated paper ones: they diffuse daylight enough to prevent glare on glossy screens.

Shades are from plastic, but works with light similar to paper. I'm getting diffused light trough them. Good for photo and video.

Yep, no standing desk anymore. I used ikea motorised legs with this desktop and it working fine, but it is hustle to manage all the cable and lights, so nope.

Really cool setup! I totally get your problem with the lights setup for recording 😅 It's a struggle

Hi Aivars. Is one of your chairs the IKEA ALEFJÄLL model? If so, would you recommend it to a programmer? I'm about to buy some stuff for my studio; I like that chair, it's beautiful, but I don't know if it could be a good choice for me as a programmer. It doesn't seem so comfy for long programming sessions. I would greatly appreciate your advice or a review. thx

Well it is more good looking than comfortable. I was using it with standing desk and it was ok while I'm switching between standing and siting, but I do not feel it is good enough for all day long sitting.

Hi Aivars, is it necessary to have an iPad when you start learning IOS development? Having macbook and iPhone is enough for the first few apps what one create? I can see you have an iPad on your desk all the time. (I try to switch from backend to more mobil dev. and/or both). Thanks!

Nope, you don't need it. I rarely using it specifically for iOS development, that is more productivity and consumption device.

My daughter is main user of that silent keyboard, so I can work without distractions :D Sorts out that Game Center wasn't enabled on my mac, and instead of shoving normal error message game just didn't launch ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m surprised you are obviously pretty deep the keyboard rabbit hole, but you’re not rocking a split keyboard yet. Have you not tried one yet, or tried but have not liked it?

If you look closely at 00:07 on the very left on bottom shelf, you will see Lilly 58 with camera lenses in between two split parts. I gave away 4....6 keyboards to my friends, a few to family members. I'm a lost man on a bottom of that rabit hole ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, I see your point. When I want to go full focus I'm working from laptop only. Laptop and iPad are on stands, I'm using external keyboard to rule them all. So, there is only one keyboard on the desk and I would not like to use laptops keyboard as main input source as I have better one.

1/10 - No Linux there 😂
