Probably trying to make a enterance. I would assume they drove home and there non emergency obviously until they got into the area where hurricane Michael hit. But I would assume they drove back home non emergency and since the place where all this stuff it stored is in this town they decided to let all the locals know they are home and safe

These almost look like Nuclear Emergency Support Team (NEST) trucks. This kind of emergency team can be deployed anywhere in the world on very short notice within 24 hours via flying inside a C-5B Galaxy or C-17

PA USAR Responding " THEN In the description it says: "PA USAR RESPONDING HOME AFTER HURRICANE " Not to rain on anybody's parade, BUT: 1) They were EITHER responding OR returning 2) WHY the H377 were they rolling Lights & Sirens, and TAKING Control of (what looks like) a primary intersection, to GO HOME ?? I'm not totally bitchin about them, But, come on... that's unnecessary, and COULD BE dangerous!

brad gibbons the unit you are questioning is urban search and rescue the fire department only uses those units when a building collapses or if a major emergency happens were people could be buried underneath structures/rubble after a catastrophic event.

Brad Gibbons, these are the apparatus of Pennsylvania Task Force 1. PA TF 1 is part of the FEMA Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) program. There are 28 of these teams throughout the United States. Teams are activated based on the severity of an incident and the capabilities of the local organizations where an event has occurred. Typically these are large scale, multi day, technical rescue operations as well as disaster management. FEMA has a standardized list of 16,400 pieces of equipment to be carried by every one of the 28 teams, hence the reason for large cargo trucks and even tractor trailer trucks. PA TF 1’s primary participating agency is the Philadelphia Fire Department.

Zachary there is only one DHS/FEMA task force for the state of Pa. The Philadelphia Fire Dept is the primary agency, however there are multiple components to a Task Force so there may be members from areas throughout the state that make up the entire team. For example, K9 search dogs may be handled by people that are not PFD members but are still part of the Task Force. You will find smaller, localized teams, such as a county wide or an individual municipality that form similar type teams or task forces, have much of the same training, and even quite a bit of the same equipment but have much smaller operational jurisdictions. The FEMA teams can essentially be deployed anywhere in the country if necessary.

Wow so much money can you imagine the cost to purchase all that equipment maintain it and have specially trained drivers and mechanics and a lot to park them when not in use .. o well its just tax payers money hard at work 🤑🤦‍♂️.
