Here are my most interesting catches from this video: - 1:21 old model Tahoe. It reminds me of SWATs in the early centuries - 1:43 2:53 5:01 11:13 11:56 Crown Victorias nothing beats Crown Vics. The best police car ever made. I even have one ex-detective P7B - 3:15 5:46 Suburbans. It is interesting to see Suburbans amongst the police since they are usually driven by the federal agencies such as FBI, Marshals, Secret Service, etc - 7:24 old model Charger. The Europeans are too conservative in using sirens and lights that make me worry about crash at intersection by not seeing or hearing emergency response vehicles are coming and in which direction. On the contrary, American sirens and lights are the best and they use them to their limits with excellent effect.

The Connecticut State Police (CSP) are the only agency in the USA, Canada, Europe and anywhere in the modern world where the patrol fleet, their entire fleet, has no overt high visibility markings. The CSP has no specific identifiable license plate, striping, no anti-collision chevrons, no badging or graphics, no roof mounted warning lights that allow easy recognition and identification from a distance during any weather or ambient lighting condition. By marking their cruisers the CSP would have the affect of appearing more ubiquitous than they are. The CSP will say we have lights. The lights are at the discretion of the operator, the other vehicle markings mentioned is what is missing and should be required by legislative action if not department proactivity. A Mass state police study, the Feds, Arizona DPS and others have indicated the importance of vehicle markings for the officer and the public. - Discuss.
@publicsafetyinvestigations999

@publicsafetyinvestigations999

@@ZypherDesign The rest of the world does it differently, the plates should have a state logo not be a passenger plate with certain characters only the police know. In addition the patrol car is missing all the other distinguishing marks of a publicly owned & operated vehicle. Its not 1980 anymore, if police recruitment is a problem then marking the cars will assist in making their appearance ubiquitous. Of course it will be harder to take the family skiing in vermont if the car is marked which is a benefit.
@Anthony3k

They do have over the top lights they can adjust to take them off making their vehicles a slicktop/unmarked car (i used to live in CT) also another reason why they aren’t marked is because they can take their vehicles home for personal use

How to recognize unmarked police vehicles: 1) USA brands - GM/Ford/Chysler/Dodge/Ram. Nearly all cities/states/fed do not allow purchase of foreign brand vehicles. 2) No license plate brackets. (No dealer brackets, sports teams etc.). No bumper stickers or magnets either. Not always, but good indicators: 3) Standard steel wheels, dog dish hub caps. 4) Emergency lights in grille/behind windscreen or rear window/on mirror/license plate. 5) Search light(s) on A-pillar.

The best police car ever made. I even have one ex-detective P7B - 3:15 5:46 Suburbans. The Europeans are too conservative in using sirens and lights that make me worry about crash at intersection by not seeing or hearing emergency response vehicles are coming and in which direction. On the contrary, American sirens and lights are the best and they use them to their limits with excellent effect.
This was a best and worst of emergency vehicle lighting video... some very cool stuff mixed with hacked together equipment that wasnt good when it was first installed three vehicles ago.

- Discuss.
