I’m all for sending help and trying to get Palestinians access to basic healthcare. It’s just telling that he didn’t name any Israeli children who were tortured and killed during the attack. It’s also telling that he isn’t so much interested in helping Palestinians as he is in “freeing them” so it’s a political statement and he’s using dead children as a platform to make his point. The issue of dead children is simple, the Palestinian people need help, medical supplies, clean water, food, fuel, personnel, etc. The issue of Palestinian freedom is quite complex with dozens of interested parties all vying for power including Hamas which is a Palestinian group. Are we trying to free them as well? My point is not that Palestinians are terrorists because that’s plainly false, my point is that this was a Jihadist attack that has been endlessly inflamed and complicated by the Israel-Palestine conflict. It’s just insanely vague and meaningless to say “free Palestine.” It also kind of sounds like you think the terrorist attack was a justified one in the pursuit of freedom for Palestine. But of course this rapper could care less. At best, he’s just reacting to a situation he couldn’t spend 2 minutes thinking about, and at worst, he just wants to signal to his fans which side he’s on so that he can tap into that fan base and sell more tickets. My problem is not that he wants to help Palestinian children and bring that issue to the forefront, my problem is that he used the phrase “free Palestine” which is a political statement that would technically get more children killed if taken seriously. Unless he doesn’t mean an armed revolution with more terrorist attacks… again, what does “free Palestine” even mean? It’s intentionally vague. That’s why it just looks like he’s trying to sell tickets by virtue signaling even if that’s not what he’s doing. And if he is, he’s taking advantage of dead children to do it which would be really bad.

1. He's not virtue signaling -- every day there's a new example of a person getting shut out of their industry for being pro Palestine. This is a huge risk 2. Free palestine means people who have continuously lived there for generations have the freedom to pursue a dignified life in their homeland 3. The terrorist attack was a prison break -- before it happened countless people told Netanyahu to stop pushing so deeply into Palestine because of the blowback for years. Egyptian and American security even warned a specific attack that day was going to happen. Imagine you were in that same situation in Gaza -- you see you and your family bound to be in jail or dead. Would you lay down and accept it?

But since he is calling others to actions - well, you know the adage: "Actions are louder than words" - then it is no longer "signaling" to others his good intent but actually doing something about it, and proving that he is virtuous. And if he is virtuous, which isn't a bad thing, then he isn't signaling it but I stead proving it Virtue signaling is trying to convince others you are a good person. Wanting peace isnt antisemitism. That kind of mindset is part of the problem. Did you ever learn about cause and effect in school? The cause is Isreal has been treating the people of Gaza like its an open air prison for years so them bombing Isreal is the effect.
