Doctor in Gaza: 'I've never experienced anything like it'

Dr Andy Ferguson spent two weeks working as a doctor in Gaza, at the European Hospital in Khan Younis, helping treat people with severe trauma wounds from bombing, shrapnel and gunfire.
As Israel's forces pushed further south into Gaza over Christmas and New Year, supplies of medicine, anaesthetic and crucial equipment began to run low - and eventually run out entirely in some places.
This is what Dr Ferguson saw.

Humanity is not dead. What you are witnessing is the work of people without a conscience. It's a wake up call for all of us. Instead of chasing dreams, we must be on the lookout for this evil. No mather what era we are living in. We must not fall for these personality types. Sadly, they are often ahead of the crowd. This is how they do life and this is how they are able in the short run to cause long-term damage. We must start to teach about it early on. That being said, we should now focus on helping our friends in Palestine.

I get a sense that Dr. Ferguson might be suffering from PTSD at the moment. He's doing a good job of keeping it together for the cameras and making a dignified presence, but the man's eyes are in a hollow state of shock, his expressions are lopsided, and I can see mild tremors. He was in Gaza for only two weeks, and already he's seen and experienced things that have shook him to his very core and created what will most likely be long standing psychological damage. That said, just think of how a Gazan must feel.

You're right, it is unspeakable that Hamas are using hospitals and mosques as fighting bases, launching mortars and rockets from densely populated civilian sites whilst knowing that this opens them up to retaliation. Hamas scurrying around in tunnels that they built with billions of dollars of your money whilst failing to provide shelters for their citizens or civic resilience like a real country facing war would do, and instead embezzling aid money to their Qatari bank accounts whilst throwing a generation of Palestinians onto the fire of jihad is incredibly evil. Dr Ferguson is admirable for his bravery in going to treat the suffering people of Gaza, but it seems that his critical faculties aren't sufficiently tuned to the jihadist mindset to full understand the cause and effect here

Every word reveals heavenly secrets, and the purpose is for people to know the truth and be given another opportunity to be saved.” *** Why the Creator Seeks to Save All Life “...The Creator is the Lord of all gods in the cosmic realm, and He is the maker of the Lord of all lords, and the King of all kings. Yes islamist terrorism is hard to explain to children - and it's even worse to explain how Hamas would put their own people's lives at risk. Imagine if your mayor came to your classroom and started to build a tunnel from it to an underground arms factory. Gaza schools have exactly that. Imagine your students go home to watch television and see children's propaganda representing Jews as murderers and suicide bombers as martyrs. This exists in Gaza. Imagine your students come to class and tell you that their mother is now getting payments from the government because their father blew himself up in a bus bombing in Tel Aviv. This is part of everyday life in Palestine. Sympathy for civilian victims of war is normal. But it's not clear at all who really is "innocent" if anyone is. How many German civilians were "innocent" in 1940-45?

What kind of country is the U.K. and don’t think it will be any better with GenocideZionist Starmer, his wife and children are Jewish, she seems to be driving Labour policy and Starmer celebrates Shabbat every Friday with his in laws. They probably celebrate every Palestinian child, women or man killed that week. He won’t be receiving my vote, I’m not even Muslim. If any labour politician approaches me during the election I will remind them of the Genocide Starmer, the 30,000 plus dead, 6 year old Hind murdered by Israelis, denied by the Israelis medical assistance from the ambulance service and murdering two paramedics. The two Catholic women murdered by Israeli snipers inside a Catholic Church, a sanctuary, with British supplied sniper weapons and ammunition. The elderly Catholic women making her way back to her apartment shot by Israeli snipers in the leg, left to die, paramedics denied access, the women killed by an Israeli tank running over her and the family eventually receiving only body parts for a requiem Mass. Starmer should appear in the international court for complicity in war crimes and breaking every Geneva convention of war, he is despicable. I hope every Muslim does not vote labour and anyone with a shred of Christian beliefs, Sunak as well. I am heartedly sickened by mainstream U.K. politicians, the only countries with integrity are Ireland and Spain.

@@cherylemaybury9967 One of the worst types of injustice in the sight of God is for the oppressor to play the role of the victim before the international community and accuse the oppressed of being an oppressor. Greetings to all those involved in the Palestinian cause and its resistance. The Zionist state is foreign in the region. Its human element has no geographical or historical connection to the environment that the Western rulers wanted to create after the two wars. These rulers used the massacres committed against the Jews to demand their right to the state. While the Jews lived in Palestine and were protected by Caliph Omar bin Al-Khattab. Well EVIL like morning404 said. PURE EVIL are the 2 words to START WITH. Less than 100 yrs ago, what The Nazis genocidal plan did to the Jewish people was horrific, & is NOW what the Jewish people are doing to the people THEY don't want on "their" land. They have made that clear. No 2 state solution. They want the Palestinians to give up EVERYTHING & leave - or DIE!! It's not just the IDF or Netanyahu, the ongoing violence in The West Bank - from the ILLEGAL ISREALI settlers attacking the Palestinians living there - ORDINARY PEOPLE - JUST LIKE YOU OR ME, shows that the majority of Isreali PEOPLE DON'T want ANY Palestinians in "Their" country. Even though the Palestinians' ancestors had lived there, in their HOMES for GENERATIONS before the NEW State of Israel was CREATED!! NO buildings are still standing in N. Gaza, HOMES & NEIGHBORHOODS - GONE. Anything you couldn't bring with you - GONE!! Millions of Pictures of Loved ones- GONE!! Memories other than what Isreal has done in the last 4 months - GONE!! This is as inhumane as any Nazi work camp. Near 30,000 dead. HOW MANY with horrible life-long injuries, how many die because of no antibiotics, or conditions where antibiotic resistant bacteria can grow & pass from 1 to another fast!! Not nearly enough safe food & water. Kids are getting CRAZY sick, their little bodies need food to GROW & THRIVE - & they can't even SURVIVE!! Everything that Isreal has done, I can think of something equal that the Nazis did to the Jewish people during WW2. Either way, the only words to describe it is "Pure Evil". I feel like it's a bunch of adults watching 1 little kid getting beat by 3 big bullies EVERY DAY, & not doing anything about it. Frustrating that we "can't" fight this evil. We are, unfortunately, FRIENDS with it INSTEAD.

Do our politicians get told this or watch these reports. Do our politicians feel any guilt when they then tuck their children in bed. People in power can really do something - the general public can only demonstrate, right letter . . . My government makes me feel powerless and ignored. I really hope individuals in our parliament feel the full weight of international law and they have to account for their inaction and any lies or bending of the truth they have told, and might be still doing. Do these awful individuals go to church? They don’t practise what religion teaches. Will they have no shame, no embarrassment when they next have to attend a service. But forget religion, we all know what’s right and wrong if we haven’t been brainwashed. So they’re acting out of selfishness, doing what’s best for themselves. I don’t know how they will be able to live with this. There will be no pride for them when this is put in history books. Their names will surely rank along side other ghastly figures who didn’t use power well.
