1st one here today,watched all the 72 reviews on youtube

Awesome review again Kareem, thanks for helping me to bend towards this mixer instead of Pioneer gear...nothing against Pioneer, great stuff but we , us Djs used to be the ones who had the input and had a ton of input with song break thru's, what was next to be on the radio by playing them at the club to see if its a banger. But these companies and money influence was not as big as it now, just my thoughts and opinion. After 20 yrs out of the industry things change but I am happy going with the Denon DJ /Rane products mainly for the future of what they can do? Thanks again brah.

The effects on the S9 sound more full overall, but the 72 is my new favorite, especially due to the screen and faders...

Thank you, I'm on the market for a new Mixer with Serato built in, your selection make me to be more inclined to the Pioneer S9. Even though the price is kind of scary.

Dope review! can you loop external audio through the mic inputs? like if I say something can I loop it and manipulate it with the pads?

I guess you could record a Serato Sample of your voice using a Mic input, then manipulate each sample you record using the pads...

He always does great reviews... My take on it... This is a beast of a mixer.... BUT it's only for Serato... If you use Serato, you're in great shape... I use Rekordbox, so I'm stickin' with the S9... I doubt Pioneer will come out with a new battle mixer soon... Especially not dedicated for Rekordbox...

It now works with VDJ, I don't think I'd ever touch Serato. But since they've added VDJ support, I might just have to sell a kidney in order to be able to afford one. Perhaps it will get official Rekordbox support soon too.

Is it compatible with cdj 800 mk2

Love the mixer, hate the waveform lag. I have the updated firmware and the waves still lag. Rane said maybe I need a more powerful Mac. I replied isn’t a solid state drive with 16gb memory enough.........

I didn't feel the lag of the screen and I was juggling using the screen only... Perhaps its so small that I just got used to it? Not so sure...

ok i'm reaching out to you because i want to change the paramotor buttons but can't find any mapping features that control or change them. do you know of any solutions?

You DJ with the Z2 alone. I do it at clubs all the time. It’s like traktor was just wayyy ahead of its time

I started with Serato Scratch Live on Rane TTm57SL and now with the Rane 62. Surely I'd love a 72 but my bank accounts saying OUCH! Lol

Try Sweetwater , zzounds , or americanmusical . I’ve purchased my gear from all three for years. Payment plans help out a lot !

Hello, I would need technical advice regarding the RANE 72 to find out if this mixer is compatible with Mac OS Catalina 10.15.5 (latest update) The drivers available on the RANE site are they functional under Catalina, as well as the firmware update of the mixer. Is all this compatible? Thanks in advance 😊👍

Hi DJBooth, how are you doing? Please I need your help, I have my music files on my usb, but I can't get Serato and Rekordbox to play 2 of the music files. All my other music files is ok including the 2 files that can only play in Windows media player and virtual dj.

I have the Rane 72 mk2. After purchase I instantly missed my Pioneer sound effects. Will you please share or ask your community or tell me how to set the settings to mimic the pioneer echo fx?

The echo isn't going to be as good as the Pioneer, but you need to turn up the FX all the way to get it similar...

Can you help me Please? My seventy two MKII isn't functioning right. The volume faders don't adjust the sound, my fx toggle isn't working either

Sure! Did this used to work before and stopped working or did you just get it? You may need to uninstall all drivers and reinstall them again. Does the FX paddle blink when engaged? Are both paddles not working?

It can, but its not necessary... All of the functions will be doubled and not needed. Sell the DDJ-SP1 and put the money towards the 72...

The resolution looks pretty close honestly, but maybe the S11 by a little bit.
