Love mine, and really can't wait for the Serato integration update. $400.00 is really not that bad, no more needle replacement, no more vibration issues and cheaper than a pair of Rane 12's!!!!!! Well worth the investment.

Awesome review, I'm still rocking my 1200LTD's with the pioneer DJM909 mixer and the SL4.....phono cables everywhere for me now I have the PHASE. 😂 Might get the 72 mixer 👌

Great you talked about the price. $400 is definitely a reach. Vinyl/Dvs is ridiculous, all that bulk/setup just to play music. 😂. Nice review bro better late than never! My only gripe is that when beat matching one of the tracks always jump a 1/4 beat ahead making it sound like a train hit. Thank god for a quick hit of the sync to save you

did you calibrate both devices to the receiver before the long mix? this is the only concern holding me back from buying it.

Could I use the phase controller with a none-serato mixer? I have an old numark mixer with my technics pair.

Yes, but you need to unlock and pay for serato DJ first. So you need a device that actually allows you to use Serato with an older non-serato mixer like the Denon DS1 interface card. Then you can add Phase on top of that. Phase does not unlock serato. It's only an accessory that works with it.

So the two turntables only work as a rotation for the phase when u place them on top of the actual turntable ?..does that mean I can use anything that would rotate the phase bars?...

I just wonder the longevity of these things. How long until the battery fails to hold a charge? A couple of years? Is it user replaceable?

You will have to buy new remotes once the batteries go, but I haven't heard of a situation in the 2 years that this has happened to yet.

Question. I use serato with turntables and when using sync I get beat drift. It doesn’t stay sync locked like when using a controller. Does phase correct that problem or will it act the same? Thank you

I believe you can set it to "lock" the zero in place, but there is always some super slight drift using turntables, but it shouldn't be noticed. Not sure if Phase will fix it or not.

So wait I can't throw in regular vinyl if I'm using a S9? It takes over the phono plugs?

You can put them into the PHONO or LINE... you can set it to what you want I'm pretty sure...

If youre looking to buy a Phase, I would wait until black friday. It will be on sale for 300

I’m having bpm issues. I’m running the phase with Technics SL-1200’s and Virtual dj. I have Serato pro but haven’t set it up and very familiar and comfortable with Virtual. The bpm fluctuating is a killer for a dj that’s actually mixing and blending songs. The bpm also never match the bpm that songs are Analyzed at. Any suggestions because as of now it’s a deal breaker for me. 😒

It should definitely be playing at or around the BPM the songs are analyzed at when pitch is set to zero. I have never used Phase with anything other than Serato so I can't say for sure, but when using turntables, there is a bit of "drift" to the BPM naturally but it shouldn't sway more than .01 to .03 of a percentage... There is a feature to lock the BPM in the Phase setup software. If all else fails, try to reinstall the Phase software and make sure you have the latest firmware installed on the unit and the remotes.

I use the needles I don’t have that problem. Even when I looking at my laptop you can see the bpm fluctuating. I try to use the pitch and it seems like it automatically try to change it for you. Very weird and frustrating.

There is a record button in Serato DJ pro. check youtube for quick tutorial or go to the Serato website for quick FAQ or questions.

Yes I still use it and it still works great! Battery life is even longer than I expected. To be honest, I probably wouldn't buy this over using regular timecode vinyl and needles because its like an additional point of failure for gigs and it takes more cables to connect and you have to remember to have it charged... It's better if you can wait for a sale to find it at like $250 or so. Then its more worth it...

Great review but not for me. For one it requires a laptop, which I detest using. I use CDJs along with technics turntables for when I want to play actual records with a needle, that’s where the fun is for me. I just don’t get products like this unless you’re exclusively a scratch dj

How do you scroll through a song since there’s no cartridge?

You can tap the waveform on the computer or I think there is a way to hit shift or CTRL and move the record to quickly scroll... Not 100% sure tho.

Would this work with one turn table and a controller without DVS?

Good review albeit late but still relevant on the issues you mentioned. I was part of the first group to buy-in and haven't had any real issues. I still purchased some jaco styli for my 1200s because I listen to vinyl. ...wait what?? Quarantine is over???

Phase manager for Windows is horrible. It almost never connects. I have to use vitrual mac desktop so I can use the mac version. It's ridiculous that the Windows version is still so bad.

All I use is Windows for everything on this channel and Phase works every time I start it up on my machine... My computer is also like 7 years old but it is an i7 with about 24GB of RAM and an internal SSD. Try it on a different computer to see if it works.

I use windows and it connects EVERY time. Maybe its your windows laptop thats the problem.

@@bennito375 weird. I wish I knew what was causing it to act that way. It works fine with serato but I can't use the MWM to calibrate or any settings. It appears to be fine mixing dvd scratching.
