Guys, please don't worry about not delivering reactions "people expect". People like honest, pure reactions. Whatever you feel while listening to a song is good and worthy to express! And please - don't think "we don't cry with Rammstein". Some do, some don't. There is no right or wrong in emotions.

guys, im a 51 years old grown up man. and i cry.. a lot.. on Rammstein ( Zeit, Ohne Dich), Depeche Mode, Heilung.. there is no such thing as "we dont cry on Rammstein" just be honest.. to yourself and to us. as you did till now. 😉

Oh dear, It's not a shame to cry on Rammstein songs. Honestly, I do it all the time. Simply some of their songs feel very much personal to me, I call them "intimate songs". They are like katharsis - force U to face certain things but after that U fell better, relieved :) So, nothing wrong with crying. It's a very human thing to do :)

Oh Dominika 😭 many of us have heard this song a million times but it still gets us, so we completely understand. When Till shouts for a mother and Richards crying guitar swells, it's so emotional. Fantastic you've found educatedmarine though, it's a lot easier to follow along with the English translation on screen. I love watching you guys! And yes, the whole Paris concert is fantastic, any song from there to react to is great

I can see you felt very strongly during the song. It's a song that swells with emotion. Don't ever apologize for letting yourself feel a song, no matter what the reaction is. A song about a lab made creature who both longs for a mother, but also curses it's own existence. It wants to be loved, but is angry at being born.

Und jetzt noch " Spieluhr " hinterher dann laufen die Tränen. And now "Spieluhr", then the tears will run.

What does make this song even more powerful is the fact that at least two band members - the singer Til and the lead guitarrist - had serious issues with their mothers. And then Til singing "Mutter, gib mir Kraft" ("Mother, give me strength") shows how important the mother is for every being.

No, Lindemann hadn't any problem with his mother. He had problems with his father.

It seems like, they could work in it. I could not do it with my mother and it happened so many times, until last month, that she blamed me for everything, so since last month, I am not in contact anymore with her. I gave her 41 years of my life, but for her I was only a slave and a bunching ball until last month. I have no energy left for it! I am rather without "family", then with and weird thing is, I really git my name in the hospital, because she did not want to have me. I also found out that I lost wight in the first weeks instead of gaining it. She gave me too less. And there where so many things happening between my birth and now, I can not forgive anymore! That's it!! I would be rather a clone, like in Till's song, that her daughter!

@@andreagruber5813 It was similar for me with my father after my mother died. I had no contact with him for 35 years - I do not regret it. You have to take care of yourself first, only then are you truly capable of caring for others, X.

@@duncanmccann2715 Thank you and yes, I agree. to be honest, since July I can feel how my energy is slowly coming back and it is so great, that I do not have to think of a "daily report". You have know idea what happened, when I did not do it. I can understand it, when the child is going to college, the first time out of the house etc. but with 41? And at the end, as I tried to talk to her, and I normally talk with people, she was only yelling at me in a way like I would be 10. I mean, what the hell? And so I decided, that is it. Thanks again and have a nice start in the new week (at least where I live it is already Monday morning). ❤

I am 29 now, Rammstein is my favorite band since I was 10. Over the years I understood the meaning of the lyrics better and better and the songs made me cry more and more the older I got. I'm German by the way, still Rammstein songs include a lot of heavy topics that most kids dont understand. So there's no shame in crying over a Rammstein song, especially because their instrumentals carry the emotion of the lyrics so well that you can feel what the song is about without understanding a word. Mutter is one of my favorite songs because my mother and I fought a lot when I was younger and I wanted to believe she was not my real mom. We're on better terms today, still this song reminds me of a time where I felt alone but had band by my side that perfectly described how I felt.

It is a very emotional song. Sometimes you have to go through emotions alone. No need to be ashamed. It shows your human side. This counts nothing else.

For me Meine Tranen is the alternate reality of this song. This song he kills his mother who probably wasn’t his biological mother and suffers in an underground prison and in Meine Tranen he lives an emasculating life with a dominant and abusive mother who never allows him any freedom. Love that song a lot

The original music video gets me even more because how Till portrays his character in an underground prison for killing his mother who wasn’t his biological mother.

I feel you. I rarely listen to this song. It's so beautiful, but it leaves such a heavy feeling on my heart. Till really is a great poet and musician, as well as the other members of the band.

This Song is for all of us who grew up with a horrible Mother and can't put their feelings of Hate/Regret into words...It speaks to my Heart and fuels the Flames of Hate within me, showing me that I'm not alone with my sad Childhood. It's a perfect Fusion of Despair and Beauty - for Pain makes you ultimately stronger and more resilient, even though it comes at the cost of Empathy and being able to express/feel Love for other People.

This music (not only...) touch us in all parts of our bodies: heart of course, head, eyes, ears, skin, and above all I have yet my body hair absolutely bristly, even some minutes after this video...

what i like about rammstein is that there is no leader, they all have the same power of decision and same pay. Rammstein are a democracy, Till writes the texts but all are thought out in a collegial way. I think it's the fact that 6 Brains put thought into their compositions, video and design, which gives an unparalleled quality to their work, even the most "bad" or least interesting of their songs is still a very good song compared to all that is done somewhere else. even if we like it or not, we can recognize their very good level.

Back in 2001 when it came out, I had a ticket for the Rammstein-Show in Zurich🇨🇭to see them on the Mutter-Tour. On that day in the morning hours, my mother sadly passed away after long illness and therefore I couldn‘t attend the concert😢I still have my unused ticket in my Mutter-CD and when i listen to the song, it beams me back in time and all the feelings from back then are here again with all the tears… So thanks again for sharing your feeling with us🤘Greetings from🇨🇭👋

the Album "Mutter" on which you can find this song was my first ever bought CD by myself. And I heard it about several 100 times. This Song is one of the hardest songs ever performed by Rammstein. Its against in-vitro-birth but it still touches souls in so many ways - I think for women its more "painful" because of the genetic possible motherhood

This song is like a cheat code to make you sad or just making you feel. This video/performance guarantees some type of crying. It does me, at least.

We way she feels is a real feeling only a mother can feel.

Mutter was the song that opened Rammstein for me. A guy who bullied me at school put it on the cassette deck, I thought it will be something awful and... Rammstein fan since then on, for over 20 years.

This and couple of more songs with Rammstein always brings out a tear or two from me.

i know i'm a little late for this but reading the comments and watching your reaction made me realize that some people maybe dont really get what the song is about. the songtext has nothing to do with bad experiences some of the bandmembers had with theire mothers. the text is actually about a human who was created/cloned in a lab longing for someone who loves him . "In meiner Kehle steckt ein Schlauch. Hab keinen Nabel auf dem Bauch" is the best excample for this, cause clones dont have a belly button. So therefore the mother Till is singing about never actually existed. But due to the fact that biological every one must have a mother and a father the clone suffers from not having one. Some people even say that the song is kind of a modern version of frankesteins monster, where the monster is the mainperson
