RAMMSTEIN: The BEST BAND OF THE WORLD.

I was at a Rammstein concert. Stood right in front of the stage opposite Till! This power of sound, the brightness of light and the burning flame of pyrotechnics can only be felt in this way..

The song is a big middle finger for the german media at the time of the release. Prior many radio stations and TV shows claimed that the members of Rammstein are Nazis (probably because they didn't understood the provocations in their songs matched with the harsh industrial sound). So Rammstein wrote a song about being left (links) and not right and the media mass control (hence the marshing sound)

It's easy to mistake them for neo nazis if you just listen to the rolling R's and see their martial styling as well as their video estethics for Stripped that they took from Nazi filmmaker Leni Riefenstahl (dumb mistake imo). But if you think they're nazis, that also shows you never really listened to what they say and do.

@@xxJOKeR75xx It was fashionable in the 1930s in Germany to stress the consonants (not just the R), this had nothing to do with the Nazis, but because Hitler did it too, it was considered typical Nazi speech after the war. But, for example, Nina Hagen also liked to do this without ever being suspected of being a fan of the Nazis. But the song by Rammstein then made it clear that an emphasis is not yet a confession. At the same time, "Links, 2,3,4" is the German command to march, and therefore the song is also a march.

@@keineahnung5466 It's Bühnensprech (Stage speak) used to make it easier to understand even from the back of the theater. A lot of people just associate it with Hitler though. Makes it easy for people at Bild Zeitung level to form their opinion.

Best by far in terms of both sound and the audience going off. The only other that comes close in terms of audience is ACDC at the Riverplate.

Well, I'll repeat the tips I've given you many times about which songs you should react to in the future. First there would be the song "Keine Lust" by Rammstein, preferably the clip. @@andreagruber5813 NO and YES. I wrote these lyrics on the Manson forums around 1998-2000. Rammstein took those lyrics and my suggestion of being able to alter the tonal qualities of a language in order to be expressed as another language. When he starts singing, start reading. You'll find most of they match up, if you listen. If you don't understand German, and go to their show, You can at least sing along to the English form of the song.

Rammstein at its prime! Welcome to their best recorded concert at Nimes, France 2005 (!) that needs to go directly into music's Hall of Fame, if there would be one. But how do you translate a POEM in other languages ? Poems work great in the original language, but need to fall short otherwise, meaning that many innuendo's will be lost in transition like this one and even on my attempts that I uploaded onto my KZread channel some years ago. I never imagined Rammstein starting a concert like a worship service. But it happened on that very concert. "Links2-3-4" was the second song of the night and, in short, their version of "Listen to your Heart", which is the very core teaching according to Jesus Christ, meaning don't obey to teachings of men, if your heart is telling you something else. The military undertone is intended, because "Links" does not only mean left, but also "wrong" as the label "Wash on Links" on textiles means "wash wrong side" (inside-out). By using the term on people, like calling someone "a link person", would be an accusation about a person that is acting false and deceitful like a false person. "Links 2-3-4" is a confirmation of their intro song "Rise (Raise), Rise (Raise), Man of the Sea, Arise", who is nowadays symbolized as a Fish (formerly whale). Therefore that Fish is only addressed in singular for the entire song and that fish is stabbed with a spear/lance, sharing his blood with the sea, and sank down to our realm, "where the dark soul dwells". Rammstein is urging that "man of the sea", to arise at each refrain. And while I was thinking, did they really start their show with an innuendo on Jesus Christ, the hammer fell for a second time with "Links 2-3-4", to not follow others command blindly without questioning your heart!

I forget to mention song no. #3 "Keine Lust", which is also an invitation to leave your lethargy behind and don't be afraid to make a stand against those "greater animals" (Animals Farm is greeting), who didn't prove to be human/compassionate so far, even if it means you have to face the consequences then. At song no. 4 the whole bowl was boiling at max already: "Fire free" (unleashed/ at will) is really an outbreak. There Till's talking about real fire, ouch! that hurts, like at their pyro shows, the second (sexual) one, that can be funny, but beware of the third form, the mental form causing fanatism, which is by far the most dangerous one, causing the most victims... P.S. Rammstein Nimes 2005 is a specimen of art, like Nightwish Wacken 2013, just continue with that trail ❤❤❤

There is a song, called "LOS", in the middle of the setlist that they played in a calmed down version, which is Till's best poem of the evening ! Yet that song gains so much, if you would only understand its content/words. Indeed that song requires subtitles for its best. So "LOS" has several meanings in German, so I explain just two of them. . Beside of an appendix, where -LOS works like -less in English, like. shame-less, hope-less, etc. "LOS" also contains the meaning of loose, in particular at the Ready-Steady-Go! command , which is like "OnYourPlaces-Ready-LOOSE!" in German. That's why "LOS!" is also the German command fo GO! In "LOS" Till lets all of their (German) critics talk, in short, about the many talents they are missing and how ridicu-less they are. Till concedes that he's not a good vocalist (quite "sang-less" we are still a bit), but consists that they ain't sound-less and can be heard, meaning that they have some quite good riffs at all. After much explanation from the critices, why they loose so much and are such "-lesser" musicians, the poem is coming to its climax when switching the -less meaning into the GO! one for two occasions, e.g. "ZEIT-LOS" (time-less) into "IT IS TIME..(to) GO!" and again, doing the same at the next verse with a quote by their critics: THEY ARE GOD (!!!) - LOS, to the delight of their (German-understanding) fans.
