You can remove a person from a cricketing culture, but you cannot remove cricket from the person. Good to see in this tiny gathering India, Pak and SA all cricket lovers being present to hear such a wonderful speaker.

Find the odd one out: 1. It's very true. India has no reason to ban Pakistan from playing in IPL, especially since Pakistan is the friendliest to India. 2. If IPL is imperialism, by the same definition, I think Apple, Google, Facebook and Microsoft are imperialism too and they affect a much larger group of people. What is Mr. Guha's prescription for them?? 3. The commitment of Mr. Guha and Mr. Varshney to ideology and it's theory is so high that it's safe to say that they have crossed into the land of delusion.

Even better .. Look at the face at 1:18:47 and imagine saying "peace will come to South Asia if Babar Azam plays IPL". Reminder: This is from a Historian.

Apple, Google, FB and MS are imperialism indeed. But Guha is much more concerned about IPL because he truly loves cricket.

Would have been a fascinating recounting of Indian cricket history but for the speaker’s haphazard and high-strung style of delivery and constant crackling of plastic water bottles being opened and water gulped noisily!
