    ZF website lists 122° maximum temp if you go higher you will have to let the truck cool down before starting over on fluid change. Website also recommends changing transmission fluid between 50,000 and 75,000. The website also lists a certain torque sequence for tightening the drain pan with torque specs. Thanks for sharing your video with us👍🏻👍🏻

    Interesting to see you did the 2nd gear runup on the jackstands. That step is kind of hit or miss on all the tutorials I find, and since I'm going to do it on stands too, I was pretty hesitant. But it looks pretty smooth, and it looks like you have stands on the suspension or axle too, instead of the frame, so probably less stable if anything.

    I do mine up on ramps like this. Note hear the system above 70c to drain fluid in the intercooler to get more than 5q out. Then you have to let the vehicle cook down. Then overfill cold, then go thru the procedure of the gear changes, then open the fill plug valve before the vehicle heats up before 50c, open the full plug and drain the excess, close the valve. Lastly, heat to above 70 c again to ensure fluid in the intercooler is full, let cool again, over fill, then run the second and final fill level test.

  • @DL101ca

    @DL101ca

    3 жыл бұрын

    You don't "pregrease" the seal, only the o-ring for the pickup tube. Pan seal and tranny surface should be clean and dry. You tighten the screws starting from the centre and spreading out gradually, so the plastic won't buckle, that part is very important to assure no leaks.
