Ram Dass | Pt. 3 Purification and the Evolution of Consciousness - 1970
Ram Dass discusses knowledge, wisdom, and moving into the spirit through faith. Letting go of attachments and being in the now gets us closer to the plane of consciousness where we are in harmony with the universe and cannot act outside of the movement toward purification. He discusses the potential for using 'siddhis' (acquired spiritual powers) for moving further into illusion or liberation, and uses Charles Manson as an example of ego driving power. In order to move into higher consciousness we have to hear the sounds of the universe, the sounds of God; and in order for us to hear we must quiet our thinking minds. - (1/10/1970 - SF,CA)

I didn’t know he’d been part of research on lobotomies.
Does anyone know how/where Ram Dass refers to "travelling the world" to get a sense of "worldliness"? It's some indian phrase he uses, particularly in this video. Thanks.

Can someone PLEASE shut that baby up. It’s so rude for people to bring their infants into talks.
