There's a therapeutic aspect to seeing someone stuck, be rescued. Watching a few such events in a row is a solid feeling of accomplishment, even though its some dood on KZread doing it, and not the person watching. That's why I did this shit too.

Discovered your channel fairly recently. As an Aussie off roader, I appreciate your lack of hype and minimal equipment use to get the job done. The comment "your tyres are soft" has to be one of the funniest I've heard.

Everything one could ask for, multiple tows, kindness toward dogs and a quick shot of a Corvair wagon. I'm happy.

Matt, I have been watching your videos and learning. I just returned from an elk hunt that was in some of the worst mud I have seen in a while. We encountered a stuck couple with a 25’ trailer a full size F250 with a Polaris ranger in the bed. I had to winch the trailer in three different directions to get it through the gate with my power wagon. I used some of the techniques you have shown to get it done. You are providing a service.

I just want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for saving all my kiddos out of the mud in virgin Utah !!! The kids were so excited to watch you do your business!! And the fact that they were on u-tube !!! Thanks a million .... I can’t find the video, but it was super muddy and raining and they were all in there rain gear ! And were so thankful for you !!! I think the title was Chevy truck stuck ???? I Dont Know but I watched it about 10 times !!! You know all about the mama bear and her cubs were rescued!!! Lol

Half the weight, half the horsepower, 1/5th the cost, and it's pulling F-250's out of the sand like it's nothing. Gotta love that 4.0 engine and the versatility of an XJ.

Love how the state park attendant just saw Matt and nodded with a knowing sympathetic look for the poor souls stuck. Matt to the rescue!

Watching Lady and Max running is the best part of the recoveries

Old 4.0 barked all 4 tires on that last tug, well done little banana!👍

These videos are just plane fun,with all the craziness going on in the world, this is nice seeing people helping people

A Russian Asset For sure. All makes of vehicle get pulled out at some point. The badge doesn't make any of them immune to getting stuck if you are actually serious about off-road driving.

Corvair! My frirnd Wiggles (RIP) was a sand hog from the Barstow area and Eddie is a mud hog from West Side Central Valley Cal (slick clay). Together they were unstoppable. Eddie once pulled out an old Jeep using a 51 Chev car that had a locking rear end and Firestone Super All Track tires on the rear. He flung mud and totally covered that Jeep. It was so stuck it had to go up before it could roll forward. The mud was so sticky that it bound up the tires and they slid instead of rolled.

sand is tricky, I got stuck in it with my atv a week or two ago, little tip from experience, when it start to dig don't floor it.

Thanks Matt, at least the folks in the red 2wd Yota at least opted for the TRD package which gives you a switchable rear E-locker. Couldn’t tell if the silver 1 was a Prerunner or 4wd or not. Regardless best part was helping the dogs and returning their toy. Good on you Matt thanks for posting

I thought George from hill towing had a long tow rope ,but the one you used on the first tow has him beat by a mile nice job stay safe

Kentucky hills are beautiful I guess, but it gets old. I'd love to live around this area for awhile. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll ever even have an opportunity to visit the western US.

You have a 2nd job as a dog transport service. Always good to have a backup. Hate to see those Tacomas get stuck. I like to think mine wouldn't get stuck like that, but I would certainly have to air down in sand that deep. And yeah people need to realize how hot sand and concrete can be for dogs paws out here in the Southwest.

It's not just a tow strap. The rope he's using is a special kinetic rope that has a certain amount of stretch.

Yeah just like sugar sand, raised in Florida. My Dad's 302 boss setting on a willes chasie was really good in sand 411 gears dead lock with a Datsun truck body on it. It was scary.lol

Had to go back there and check it out.

Got stuck in sand at Surfside Beach TX. Had driven the beach no problem for ages in regular two wheel drive cars so was a bit confused when my 4x4 suddenly buried its wheels. Got out to find a new sign saying 'new soft sand'. Like how dumb was that to put the sign after where you would get stuck. I may be dumb too, but it wasn't me that put the wrong sand on the beach or the sign where you couldn't see it until you were stuck.

It’s a conspiracy between you, the park and the sand, lol. People pay to enter the park, park hands them your number (just in case), the sand traps them, they call you, you enter the park either with a season pass or free and pull them out... This is too funny!!

Around here you would need light bar and flashers to do any recovery and would need another vehicle or two for "traffic" on the road. I know there was no traffic but they would still get after the tow driver for not having another truck on the road blocking traffic. Nice job, Taco tuesday???

that was a 2wd truck, which is a prerunner. If it was a 4x4 tho....

Two capable Toyotas thwarted by too much air in their tires. In Australia, they have signs on the beaches at the entrance about dropping their tire pressure. All the people who get stuck at places like Inskip do the same thing first, drop their tire pressure.

Based on some comments, I think we need to clear up some nomenclature regarding the Toyota Tacoma. In the model years depicted in this video, this model came in two "off road" versions: 4x4 and PreRunner. The first is self-explanatory but the PreRunner is 2WD. The term prerunner comes from participants in long, endurance, off road races and stems from the practice of pre-running the course, prior to the start of competition. The majority of the racers do not use their race trucks to pre-run the course. Because they do this at less than racing speeds and make frequent stops for observation and note-taking, the rigs they drive are almost always 2WD. So, Toyota calling their 2WD, factory-lifted, big tired truck a PreRunner is perfectly legitimate and it can be considered an off road vehicle -- not in the sense of a rock crawler or sand buggy -- but a truck capable of moderate off pavement use. Now, the fact that some owners put street tires on them -- and fail to air down those tires when in sand -- is definitely on them and not Toyota's fault.

I don't know about out there but I live in fl , people are always stuck in the sand. If they would only rake out in front of their tires to give a few feet of room to get moving then DON'T STOP ANYMORE.

4:11 - Not in this video, later edition, you mentioned your Jeep not being a drift machine in the sand. Only place I got a square body to go sideways, was taking off after stopping to make a left turn, on a paved street and it felt like someone leaked oil before me, drove right through it, very slippery, back end whipped around quickly, (90 degree turn was completed in a second), scary doing stunts in a high top. (Was an early model Bronco with the 302 and 4-speed manual trans.). That Bronco could be a handful to control on and off road.

I feel bad for the taco guy. So close. 😆

So Toyota make a TRD "Off Road" model, which just looks like ax 4x4, but only has 2WD..... good job guys.
