I just got a 2019 Ram 3500 mega cab Laramie 6.4L that the same color. I got it to tow a 5th wheel camper, that we haven bought yet. Love your series. I bought my last cap from Ishler also, for my ‘12 f150 that I traded in on my Ram. I added a K&N air I filter (filter only) and may do an MBRP cat back exhaust. I just had the ceramic window film done and makes a big difference for keeping interior cooler. Looking forward to the updates on your truck

@@mountainsintomemories We are planning to get the Grand Design Reflection 320MKS. 10,500lbs empty with a GVWR of 14k at 34.5’ long. My truck is set up to tow 14k with the factory 5th wheel prep: puck system, air bags and 4:10 gears. Hope to get or order this year.

Like that KYD hat, also I have same setup 6.4 with 4:10 ratio.

Thanks for the detailed information. You will love the KO2's compared to the Firestones. Maybe someday Ram will stop using the Junk Firestones. Nice looking truck.

The more payload the better. Looking at getting this same truck or the new Chevy 2500. Gas engine is the only option for me. Good video’s

I definitely like the exterior of the new Chevy, especially the high country. I like everything else about the Ram better.

Truck look good with the cap on. I thought you were going to say Firestone suck. Lol, Those stock tire aren't good for towing for me they feel like the tire rolling side ways on the rim. I run Nitto's g2 grappler, I had them on my last truck a dodge megacab they last me 80+ miles a set. I only went through 3 sets in 260,000 mile ,so will see how they do with my new truck.

I didn't have the firestones long enough to really form an opinion of them. I doubt I would have been happy with them come winter though. I'm already nervous with only having this "anti spin" differential instead of the GM auto locking g80 that I've had in my last 2 trucks.

I'm looking to buy a truck really pretty close to yours and I'm interested to have your feedback on it, long term reviews and mods. I'm also doing some camping, but with a fifthwheel, so no cargo slide possible for me! Keep them coming! I'm a new subscriber of your channel! 👍

I was very unsatisfied with my Ranch topper. It is not the same height as the cab and not the greatest fit on the fenders. I didnt get any help from the company. Now I only put it on in winter, as it irritates me too much.

The only issue I’ve had with this, was a leaky brake light. Since I sealed that up, it’s been smooth sailing. I have no choice but to leave mine on year round, if it didn’t work, I’d sell and buy something else.

There should be two positions on your cargoglide I've had one for 10 years and there's a middle position where it only pulls out a little and then a full-length all the way out position or at least most of the way out. Try it out I'd like to know on a new one.

Mine is a CG1000 which has the 2 positions you speak of. 1 is 65% out and the other at 75%. I looked on CargoGlides website and they have a CG1000XL which slides 100% of the way out. I apparently didn't do enough research. I should have bought the XL, but it would have been $1,300 more than mine. I've since made it work for my purposes, the solutions are shown at the beginning fo the Chincoteague video.

Curious, what color is that truck? Thats nice! I currently have a 2014 ram 1500 dark blue but getting a new rebel seen that's hydro blue.

My truck is hydro blue. I was very nervous about how the color would look in the flesh, but it’s really nice. You can spot my truck from miles away too. It’s very similar to Ford’s velocity blue. Hope you like your rebel!

how did the cap/topper work with the RAM cargo light, camera, third light? I may have missed it in a previous video on the truck but it appeared you have the 360 camera system?

I do have the 360 camera system, and it still works with the cap on. The cargo camera doesn’t show much now. The cargo lights in the bed light up enough for me, the third brake light on the cap doesn’t really do much. Ishlers wired the lights on the cap itself and I’m not sure how they did that.

Have you considered a supplemental fuel tank? I have a very similar tradesman and she’s thirsty to say the least

I’d like to come up with something to add fuel capacity. With kids and dogs though, we usually stop every 2-3 hours anyway. I’m getting 8.5mpg towing, so thirsty is an understatement.

I have big dogs Pitts, how would I get them in the back and up in the back.

My lab jumps up, the other one is getting old so I have to pick him up. Only alternative I can think of is some kind of folding step ladder.

how does this truck brake? dodge notorious for slow. bad braking compared to chevy ford and toyota pik ups, thanks

I haven’t had any issues with it. It’s hard to quantify braking, so that’s a hard question for me to answer. I haven’t rear ended anyone yet though, or even been close.

Do you get a lot of road noise from the new tires?

No, but on my last truck the KO2s got noisy after a while. That truck was out of alignment and they wore funny, so I attribute the noise to that. On this truck I plan to rotate regularly and monitor the wear.

Funny you say that, I’m on the turnpike now to Philly, sucks. There’s no other way to get out East. It’s why you won’t see very many of our RV adventures in this direction.
