The Ram is the best looking of the HD trucks these last few years... The Ford and gm just look like a stack of text books with how tall and square their fronts are.

Gotta love Nate. This truck is awesome. The silver color with the black looks real sweeet! Thanks to this channel i found my dream truck back in 2015. I bought my 15 AEV Prospector Power Wagon. 31,000.0 miles now. Came with 37's from the dealer lot. Looking forward to seeing more videos with the Trail hound.

AEV makes some premium products. I put this bumper, a winch, and their fender flares on my RAM w/ 41” tires. Instructions were great. It was hard work by myself, but doable. All their parts still look brand new on the truck and have been on for 3 years now.

Nice bumper. Doesn't really match the dodge style lines though. Big gaps under the headlights. But the more rounded shape of the stampings mimic the ram good.

I wish we could have had a smaller gap as well. One thing to remember the frame and body do not flex the same when offroading and we have seen, off-road, that gap is necessary due to the flex differences between the body and the frame.

I won't say it is impossible, but this skid plate at a minimum is 18" off of the ground and adds more protection than the stock bumper. I have been on many trails using our front bumper. I haven't had to worry about sticks punching the intercooler. There isn't a chance for your front tires to kick up a stick to puncture the intercooler since this intercooler is in front of the tires. I can only see that as a possibility if you plan to drive over down trees with significant branches. I would suggest either cutting the tree out of the way or at least the branches that could cause an issue.

Aux lights with high beams is easy. I do it with my light bars all the time. No switch needed ever. Use a relay and have full time power and ground to relay. Use the power wire to your high beams as the trigger. Now every time you hit the high beams or flash someone not turning theirs off you have your light bar come on at the same time. Now to what the guy said about the lights melting the covers, How? LED's put out no heat in the front. At most maybe enough to feel a slight difference when its cold out. Other than the the heat fins on back will have all the heat. So the front will not melt the covers, unlike the Halogen versions will.

I get that question often, and I cannot see a scenario in which I would want to run my auxiliary lights without the headlights. The 7000 series lights are more powerful than the high beams but the high beams do help.

The intercooler gaurd is cool but a stick or anything else can go through the gaurd verry easily kts basicly only good if your going to run in to a large rock or stump or somethimg anything smaller will go right into the intercooler still. Something like a solid skid plate with a bunvh of dimple died holes would of been a better design to actually protect the intercooler and they could of used some kinda vent or what ever you wanna call it to devert more air to the intercoler to help keep sufficient air flow

So this one time meant as a "ranch truck" turned into an "overland truck" is now a "recovery 4x4 truck". My question is, what ever happened to that Jeep you bought for recoveries???? All outfitted with a ton of accessories/modifications including a winch that was going to be used as now you say this truck is going to be used for. For that matter, didn't you have an old FJ40 that was going to be your recovery rig? And David was going to build a truck of his own for the on-X OR recovery course. And of course, you have side by sides that come in and are the ones actually doing the recovery. lol Very confusing. Oh and I almost forgot, you had a Unimog there at 1 time as well that was going to do some recoveries, but all it did was drag around a small SUV in the grass. 🤷‍♂
