To whoever runs this KZread channel,DON'T EVER take this down. if you can, please upload more footage from ralphie's stand up specials and maybe some of his tv appearances as well, but please don't take this channel away from us, because if you do, you're taking away one of the funniest legendary comedians of the modern era and just putting his legacy on a shelf somewhere, and that is just all kinds of wrong in my opinion

You don't need to ask an 'oldtimer' about marriage. I'm in my 30s, was married, and I'll tell ya; he's right. Marriage is A LOT of compromise. Things will NOT go your way all the time. If you can both compromise, you can have a long happy life. If not, well, good luck. That piddly everyday crap? Just let it go, it ain't worth it. Hopefully you married her cause you REALLY love her, so just remember that. If not, your gonna end up arguing one day and thinking 'why am I with you'; if you don't really love the person you may think that and not have an answer. When that happens, you got alot of thinking to do.

Ralphie was a true talent and taken way too soon. His mentorship of young comics is worth watching. That said, his commentary on marriage is too real to be just a comedy routine. At some point we need to wake up to how unhealthy and toxic marriage is. The whole "you can be right or you can be happy" is nothing to joke about. Or in order to have sex you must marry and ultimately become "whipped". None of this is right nor healthy. Most men joke about it as a way to deal with the pain of how wrong it all is. And it is no wonder that most marriages fail. Ralphie told it like it is, though, and it is a shame such a bright talent was taken so soon. Remember underneath all the comedy is true and raw sadness and obesity too is a sign of extreme sadness, depression, trauma or all of the above. Despite his incredible talent and success, Ralphie obviously had a short, tortured life.

I see where hes going but again it should never be be right or happy when it comes to important things. If we are talking facts about things not having to do with relationships or opinions tht is no matter To argue. Both sides should ALWAYS admit wrongs but reassure each other that it isnt a bad thing. On top of tht people shouldnt invest in being right its all about compromise. One sided relationships never work. Communication and respecting boundaries is key.

Just because he was a big guy, doesn't mean that he wasn't in a relationship! He would know a thing or two, on relationships. If he was married for 17 years.
